Is there an former LHW champ who would have stood a chance with Mike Tyson? Could any of them have won a round v Mike?

    Nope. They get Spinks'd...

Maybe some of them can survive 1 round, but they eventually will fall in 2nd round.
Best chances to be awkward for 1-1.5 rounds: Thomas Hearns, Ezzard Charles. Just stylewise.

I could see a smart and durable light heavyweight possibly making it to the final bell if he abandoned any plans on actually winning. Run, clinch, only throw pitter patter shots, use spoiling tactics, etc. Spit out his mouth piece to stall for time, anything to survive. None of them would be able to actually win, you need to be cruiserweight sized and above to realistically be a threat to any remotely decent version of Tyson from 87-96.

Michael Spinks was as good a light heavyweight as any. Many have him in their top 3 light heavyweights of all time. If he couldn't get the job done against Tyson, it might not be doable for any light heavyweight, especially considering how quickly he was annihilated. Tyson would be deadly to any light heavyweight we've seen so far.

Qawi could make it ulgy for a few rounds , bobbing under him like buster mathis.

RJJ could run and hug for a bit like he did in 2020, roy looked more shot than mike actually. Then again i think mike was pulling his punches to the head.

2003 Toney might make it 6-8 rounds but its just too much firepower, nothing to keep mike off at close range. Toneys style also wont lead to many clinches so it stays violent, bad for toney.

Moorer fully bulked up at 215 might be the biggest offensive threat but gets iced because he just wont be able to take the damage.

Beterbiev is a truck vs a tank

Bob Foster and Archie Moore we already know what happens.
Ditto for Byrd, Tyson Ike's him, just faster.

Tarver, Dawson, Kovalev, Bivol, Hill could try to box at range a bit but Tyson boxed at range and kept up with Tucker and Tubbs, it wouldnt last 3 rounds.

    Actually win? No.

If we are talking about 1988 Mike Tyson, then the answer is - no.
1988 Mike Tyson in H2H terms is considered to be higher ranked than Mike Tyson in ATG terms. And that's not without reason.
Could the former LHW champion win a round against 1988 Mike Tyson - of course.
˅here˅ is a nice analysis to which I have nothing to add.

How far can we stretch the terms here? Evander Holyfield fought his first pro fight as a LHW...

Likewise, which versions of each guy.

I think the Michael Spinks of Holmes I beats the Tyson of Williams or McBride, probably by stoppage.

Some others like Archie Moore and Ezzard too.

No, if Hagler could stop Hearns in 3 rounds then Mike would have got him out in the 1st, Hearns always struggled with strong aggressive fighters like Barkley and Roldan.

Hearns wen't to war with Hagler. He wouldn't do that with Tyson. Hearns relied more on his jab and outside boxing skills in his later career.

Not v Barkley in their rematch, he got floored by Barkley at 175 so Tyson would have sparked him.

Ofc he will. But i give him among the best chances to be awkward for 1-1,5 rounds. Land a few flicker jabs, break Tysons rythem, force him to make readjustments.

Tyson is a terrible nightmare to 175's. He pumps all of them at his best.

Maybe you're right, but Spinx was also terrified and just got bulldozed early with no real survival skills or proper defense.
