Is there any boxer (or any athlete) with a more insane reach-to-height ratio than Sonny Liston?

Joe Smith Jr seems to have long arms.

Listons wingspan is kinda iffy. Technically speaking it is possible he had an 84 inch reach but it would be down to his freakishly large hands and his big shoulders. So when he puts on the gloves his reach wont really look like 84 inches. Also i dont think it was 84 inches. More like 80. Maybe 81 at the most from what it seems like. Still a long ass reach for someone of his height though

The Fury's are probably long descendants of Dan Donnelly.

    Irish bareknuckle champion 1820.

Notorious for his reach , one of his arms of which was severed and is a held in a private collection. LOL.

Seen him in person a couple of times and his arms are ridiculously long, he doesn’t look too talented though. But if he could develop a good jab that freakish reach could come in handy I suppose

Hagler was 5'9 (closer to 5'8 probably) and had a 190m reach. Man was a true knuckle drager

    Edison Miranda was 5'10" n had a 77" wingspan.

Not the best in the thread, but noteworthy.

    • Harry Wills was 188cm with a 213cm reach. (+13%)
    • Rocky Marciano was 176cm with a 173cm reach (-3%)
But I'm not confident if Boxrec has the correct value for Wills.

Yup. Trying to get a size advantage over naturally smaller men will eventually catch up with him.
