Salvador Sanchez. I was rewatching some of his fights and damn he was good. I don't really see anyone around his weight class today that could beat him, what do you think?

Not around today, but throughout history there are a few.

He was great, but like all fighters he struggled against certain guys. There have been a lot of true monster talents in that weight range you're talking about, and I don't think even Sanchez walks thru a pack of wolves like JMM, Pac, MAB, EM just to name the greats in the current era without getting bit.

I think he beats each of them, with maybe Morales giving him the most difficulty. JMM is an inferior fighter, but if he forced Sanchez to lead he could do pretty well before eventually being taken over by a increasingly hard-pressing Sanchez. I don't think any of them has the style or substance to beat him though.

I would say that at the current state from 122-130lbs nobody would be able to beat Sanchez. There's a few throughout history, maybe even Morales or Barerra in their primes, who could beat him, but I would give Sanchez the benefit of the doubt over everyone currently.

Salvador is hard to beat definitely one of the best 126-130 lbders in history of the sport

Prime Arguello would win a decision IMHO and a prime Morales could win a close fight against Sanchez but today nobody....

Morales lacked the defensive skills to come out on top against Sanchez, who was always more poised under pressure than either Morales or Barrera, who both liked to just bang it out at times.

Nobody today could beat him. I would have loved to see a rematch with Azumah, but unfortunately it never came to pass. shame to see a fighter like him pass on at such a young age. Only the good die young, i guess.

Yes. I think an older Azumah Nelson might take him.

yea, should have made that more clear. i meant fighters in these weight classes today.

i see him as being either too good of a boxer, counterpuncher, and have too much power for anyone today
