Gordeau repeatedly drove his chin into Nakai's eye during the fight when he was in top position causing him to go permanently blind in one eye. he kept his blindness a secret for many years because he feared it would hurt MMA's reputation.

A brutal KO is good enough. I see no point in career ending injuries unless a certain fighter crippled me and got away with no punishment for it. I imagine the sport would be a bit boring if it was full of fighters I like. Gotta have a few villains to shake things up. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing the fighter you hate get KTFO. It's one of the reasons why I became a fan of combat sports.

 

Yes I know...I'm not asking why someone want gordeau to be injured, that I get don't worry....I'm asking WTF is the obsession with Gordeau... ?
