If the fight is made and DLH knocked out Pacquiao, how much glory is there in that? Yes, it will make a lot of money but I can't see it looking like much of a triumph. It is going to be odd when they do the fighter's face offs. Will they have Pacquiao stand on a crate?

I think if DLH knocks Pac out there will be some initial glory but it won't take long for people to see it as kind of a shame because of the size difference and also, becaues it deprived us of much more competitive matches.

Pac vs the lightweights!!! If Pac bulks up and gets hurt by DLH he may never be the same. And in the last part of his career here as a boxing fan, its much more interesting to see how he can compete against all the lightweights plus the guys following him to 135. I mean, those are some serious challenges there. Now all this gets derailed because Oscar needs a low risk match up rather than give the fans what they really want which is DLH vs Margarito.

Now if Pac wins it will be amazing and glorious for him especially if he gets a KO but it seems like a big long shot. I guess I just get frustrated the way boxing works. Everyone gets pulled out of there natural weights to pursue big money fights, which makes sense for them, but cheapens the sport in the long run and interrupts the more natural match ups.

With that said, I am a succor for boxing so I will be very excited for tor this fight.

PREACH ON!...and like everybody has been saying, a margarito loss is wayyy better than a win over pacquiao(especially a KO WIN)...DLH is trippin :-(

Glory ??? In a circus act ??? You're funny man.

    . . . money . . . yes!

    . . . Glory . . . none!

DLH won't earn any respect by beating a fighter coming in 3 weight classes down. That's common sense. :deal

He would have beaten a p4p fighter in his prime(though not prime weight) known as the mexican assassin as his exit. Its good enough for him.

There is absolutely no glory to be had in a Oscar KO of Pac. The fight is a circus and is bad for boxing.

Have you lost any respect for Cotto since his Margarito loss? Or did you gain respect for him with that performance?

Even if DLH lost, if he gave us a great fight, in the long run he would gain respect assuming he fought hard. I don't blame him for taking the easy road. He makes a bundle of money in either fight and vs Margarito he may very well get the beating of his life.

I am curious how the Mexican boxing fans are going to react if DLH blows out Pac. Will they say, ha ha, we finally got Manny! Or will they say, damn, here we had a great warrior with a style Mexican boxings fan love, on the level of some of our greats, and he was fed to Oscar - who ducked out of fighting our current warrior Margarito.

Personally, i actually gained more respect for cotto. For one, he was the only "big name" willing to put it all on the line(undefeated record, WBA tittle) against a tough opponent. He boxed great for the first half of the fight but ultimately, cotto couldn't keep up and handle margaritos pressure and lost. Cotto tried his best. There's no shame in that. I'm not mexican(im salvadorean) but i was raised on watching chavez fights(along with other mexican fighters) and thats what I grew up respectin in a boxer; His ability to say "**** it! im goin balls out!" I would of wanted DLH to have chosen that path :-( . Its not a mexican/latino colored thing, there's plenty other boxing fans from other backgrounds that would have wanted that as well.
