Did you bring enough drugs to share with the rest of the class?

Just because this might sell very well doesn;t mean it's great for boxing. How? What does it do in the long run for the sport? NOTHING.

It's great for the people involved and certain fans. That's about it.

I think way too many are underestimating Pac. I don't think he's gonna win nor do I want him to, but he's gonna deliver on a far more competitive scale than most expect, I think. The only thing I fear at this point, is the fact it's a DLH fight (and maybe his last) so the cheap seats are likely to be close to $200. Let's hope not.

Pretty much. Much like the Mayweather/DLH fight, it'll give boxing one big quick boost (or perhaps just a boost to the fighters in question) before things go back to their usual status quo. To expect this to "bring boxing back" is insane...since it's essentially a 135 lber taking on a 154 lber in a catch weight fight for no title and with nothing substantial on the line for either one.

What will Pac-Campbell do for boxing in the long run? NOTHING! Absolutely 0. It just means Pac becomes champ amongst many before him, beats a guy amongst a few that has already.

This fight will sell very well, will create a new boxing superstar that will carry the sport once DLH is gone and will put boxing on the map.

The way you guys are acting is like you want boxing to stay a cult sport all the time and really dont want boxing exposure.

If you're gonna expose boxing to people, better it be an exciting fight that will not dissapoint. This will create alot of boxing fans too.

De La Hoya has been yesterday's news for a long time. They tried to use the Leonard/Hagler angle for Hopkins/De La Hoya (a fight Felix Sturm had more right to) and they hyped the Mayweather fight to no end. How'd those fights go?

Then it's the "homecoming" fight against Forbes. BORING!

I hope Pac wins but I'm still not spending my money on it.:-(

Big difference, DLH-PBF BOMB. That was BAD for boxing because you sold the fight to the people, convinced them to shell out their hard earned cash, for what? To watch 2 fighters dance around the ring.

That fight was almost like false advertising, everything it promised, it didnt deliver. This fight will promise alot of things, and more than likely keep them. This will in turn get the media talking about a great fight that occured in boxing(not mma) and alot of fans satisfied and look more into boxing.

No it won't. There's no way it will be exciting in a "two gladiators trade in the center of the ring" stance because Manny will get destroyed and the fight will be ruled as a jip. If DLH plays defense and runs he'll be ridiculed for running from a guy whose 3 weight classes below him. If Pac runs, he'll give himself an adaquete shot at winning but bore us to tears and the fight will be a dud.

So unless fans are looking for Pac to get killed, this won't deliver on any promises.

It drew huge...which is what all the major parties were looking for. I think the majority of us knew it would be a massive sparring session but it accomplished what it was supposed to do in the eyes of HBO, Floyd and Oscar.

They are both grown ass men, fighting in there.
what is there to be  about?

It's a passing of the torch.
Win or lose, Manny will come out the winner here.

That's where your going wrong, your underestimating 1 fighter too much. Your going by pure speculation, atleast wait until the result of the fight before declaring it an embarrassment.

How embarrassed will you be if Pac does indeed KO DLH in a war?

Dude….there’s no guarantee this will be an exciting fight. It might have a lot of backlash due to the size difference or if the fight is lackluster as well ala’ Mayweather – DLH. And no, it’s not like Jones moving to fight Ruiz. It’s different with smaller guys.

I don’t give a **** if it creates new fans who will probably just join this board and spread their nonsense.
