    taylors losses were debateable?

i didnt know getting KO'd was a debate and pavlik CERTAINLY beat him in the rematch by at least 7-5

he probably meant competetive... taylor could and probably "should" have had pavlik out in 2 round the first fight and the second was very good close fight

i may not be a judge but taylor clearly lost the rematch. how some had him winning is way beyond me

i had the fight 7-5 pavlik like you,and pavlik clearly won the championship 10,11,12 rounds but some of the earlier rounds i thought were quite close

Haven't seen a fight of his yet, including the Pavlik rematch, that made me stand up and say "Yeah, this guy!" :conf

I've seen a guy with an obscene amount of potential who simply does not seem to want to do what he needs to do to achieve it. That renders his willingness to face anyone sort of meaningless in my view.

Exactly, I fill he has skills, but just couldn't hsndle the pressure. Steward **** him up a little to with his style. He should have kept Nelson or Burns

JT won me over in the first Pavlik fight. From Pavlik/McKart on I knew in my bones that Pavlik would knock JT out. It's a matter of styles and stamina. These guys could fight 10 times and every fight would be exciting and competetive, but Pavlik would win 8 or 9 of them.

In the first fight Taylor fought his heart out, and went out on his sheild like a true warrior. Taylor impressed me more than Pavlik in the second fight. He fought a very smart fight. No matter what the future holds he will always be the first guy to force Pavlik to go 12 rounds. People who say JT has no future at 168 are seriously under-rating Pavlik. The fact that JT lost to him twice does not mean he can't do well at 168. It just means he can't beat the biggest, strongest, most aggressive middleweight in the world. I expect JT to do well at SMW. I know I'll be rooting for him.

He beat a fighter who was better than him (Hopkins) twice, so that pissed off alot of people

seriously though its not his fault

Well said and i agree with everything except the part where you think JT won't make noise at 168. If anything, i think he can be even better there. He no longer has to drain down to make weight.

The JT we saw in Pavlik 2 beats any SMW out there IMO outside of Calzaghe.
