Just reading the post regarding the undercard for tomorrow's Tyson Fury fight with big fat Johnny M, and one poster saying that the three HW's in Maloney's stable on that bill are in his opinion.....pants. I did see Larry's first couple of fights on TV, but then lost track of his career, but seeing that he has tased defeat this early would suggest that he isn't going all the way. I will admit, my knowledge of boxing is 2nd rate compared to most of you on here, but my question is, other than Haye and if we are to believe, Tyson Fury, do we really have any class up and coming HW's in the UK that possibly have what it takes at a much higher level than British?
I think you could widen this to include the entire world. We keep being told that the division is picking up, but it's still poor with no sign of really getting better for the foreseeable IMHO. Having said, that my son is 4 years old, 120cm tall and built like a brick shithouse. Maybe one day, in my dreams:bbb
Isn't Rahman's son supposed to be very good (I think he is still fighting in the AM's but there were some good reports about him a while ago). Also there's Oliver McCall's son as well......hope he has Da's chin. Of course this could all be Chazz Witherspoon type stuff again. Anyway, look on the bright side, there will always be about 20 or 30 Russian/former soviet bloc behemoths waiting in the wings to have a pop.:hey
It was me who said that All of Maloney's Heavy's are pants... AND its the truth!! There is another good heavyweight called David Price he big strong and can bang with good movement for a big man, but due to the whole setanta and haymaker problem it has been 6 months since his debut fight and still no news... soooo he's gotta get a move on!! He holds a win over Fury in the Amateurs!! That is about it for the British Heavy's.... Prizefighter will be exciting tho..
