Is there anybody here that feels Marquez won the first JMM/Pac fight?

I just re-watched the fight again, and I had Pacquiao winning by 3 points, although I could understand Pac only winning by 2 (if you scored the 1st round 10-7 instead of 10-6 like I did.) But all that is beside the point, Manny won the 1st round big obviously, he also won round 2. Then I had Marquez taking the next 4 rounds, followed by Manny taking the 4 after that, and Marquez closing it out taking the final 2 rounds. So that's 6 rounds apiece, with the first round being the 2 to 3 point difference. What I don't understand, is how one of the judges could have it a 5 point win for Marquez?

JMM came back and made it one hell of a fight, but I really think Manny did enough to pull out the victory. Anyway I had it 114-111 Pacquiao, and I'm just wondering how Marquez won on one judge and some fans cards. Maybe a draw because all the rounds after the first were pretty close, so I can understand that score. However arguing JMM won I just don't get.

I realize there is a lot of hostility towards Pacquiao here, so I just want to let you guys know before you respond I'm a boxing fan I like Floyd, Pac & Marquez not a hugger of any of them. I just wanted to start a honest discussion without starting any ****. So what did you guys think of Pac vs JMM I? :bbb

You gave Manny far too many rounds, that's all.

At no point did he win a stretch of four.

The first was 10-6, that's nothing to do with it.

Thank goodness for that boxscoredcard app. I've only scored that fight last month, but watched it like 5 times before, and in those 5 times i thought Manny won, but when I scored Round by Round, I had Marquez 114-113 in a razor thin fight.

    My card was thus:

    1 -- 10-6 Pacquiao
    2 -- 10-9 Pacquiao
    3 -- 10-9 Marquez
    4 -- 10-9 Marquez
    5 -- 10-9 Marquez
    6 -- 10-9 Marquez
    7 -- 10-9 Marquez
    8 -- 10-9 Marquez
    9 -- 10-9 Pacquiao
    10 -- 10-9 Pacquiao
    11 -- 10-9 Marquez
    12 -- 10-9 Marquez

113-112 Juan Manuel Marquez. 8-4 in rounds to Marquez.

It's been awhile since I've seen this fight, but I wasn't that impressed by Pacquiao's ineffective aggression in the middle rounds of the fight. I thought Marquez won a tough match that was close only due to the 10-6 first round.

But, then again, I had Pacquiao winning the second fight, and had the third fight a draw, so what do I know about anything? :conf

I really feel like they split the rounds evenly, imo the 1st round was the key to Manny's 2 to 3 point win. Could either of you guys agree with one judge scoring it 115-110 for Marquez?? Because I don't believe either fighter did enough to win by that wide a margin. I thought Manny did more damage and landed the cleaner more effective blows in rounds 7,8,9 & 10.

actually you have the right idea. after rounds 1 and 2 which are pac's rounds, rounds 3, 4, 5 and 6 are for jmm. after that, pac rebounded and make all the remaining rounds a tit-for-tat and closer than the first 6 rounds of the fight.

so in close rounds, it's just a matter of subjectivity, preference whom you would give them.

I felt Jmm won the first fight. Pacman lost the 2nd. And Jmm won the third.
