Is there anybody here that feels Marquez won the first JMM/Pac fight?

Although you guys that hate Manny have to admit it was pretty god damn incredible Pacquiao decided to take on that murders row of all time greats back to back to back like he did. And at a time when Barerra was number 1 p4p and Morales & Marquez were both in the top 5. To walk away from those 3 men 1-1-1 after the first go-round with them is amazing.

Are you serious? Barerra hardly put up a fight, and I'll admit I was a huge Marco Antonio Barerra fan at the time. I remember being so pissed when I was watching it when it was happening on HBO, because Marco was getting beat so badly.:verysad

Some may not believe this, but I really don't hate Manny at all. Just love putting his fans in their place when they go too far...which is all the time. :yep

And nobody questions his heart or balls or stellar resume of opposition faced. That doesn't change the fact that he lost the 1st time to Marquez despite the brilliant start.

Well IntentionalButt I watched the same fight you did, and imo Pacquiao did enough to win the first fight by a 3 point margin. Had there not been any knockdowns the fight would have been a draw again imo. It sounds like you gave all the close rounds to Marquez, where as I thought Manny did enough in the 7th, 8th, 9th & 10 to get the nod in those.

I actually can see the case to be made for Pac winning the first fight. That points deficit was damn near insurmountable, yet Marquez almost pulled it off.

The 2nd fight to me wasn't even close, even counting the knock down, I feel Marquez was clearly dominant in the second fight and Pac was gifted the decision.

The 3rd, while Marquez wasn't as dominant as in the second fight, he dictated the pace, landed the cleaner, sharper punches and made Pac look like a dancing fool at times.

Had JMM winning all 3 with the 3d being the most clear.
First being the closest so i don't really see it as a robbery.

JMM won the 2nd and 3d clearly.

Definitely, if you knock someone down 3 times and you still can't take them out, then proceed to receive a boxing lesson for the remainder of the fight and get outlanded, and out power punched, you don't deserve to win. Only Arum can save you, but that's cause he's a pimp and manny is his hoe... if no one was backed, JMM would have got the nod all 3 times.

I had Marquez winning all 3.But if you want to give Pacquiao a win and or draw.It would be the first and second fight. The last fight Marquez clearly out boxed Pacquiao and was BOXING CLINIC 101.

I scored the fight 113-112 for Marquez the first time I watched it. Since, I've had it 113-112 or 114-111 Pacquiao.

I scored the second a draw the first time, and 114-113 Marquez just about every time after that.

I'm definitely in the minority for the third fight, because I've watched it four times and scored it:
    115-113 Pacquiao
    115-113 Marquez
    115-113 Pacquiao
    115-113 Pacquiao

Arum had Murad Muhamad under the palm of his hand.
Arum had more control of Murad than he ever had of Marquez and Nacho.

Any fighter Arum cant navigate like a puppet, he hates and goes out of his way to make their careers miserable.

Two fighters Arum never could puppeteer were Marquez and Mayweather, both who dropped Arum the first chance they got.

If you look at it that way, thats reason enough for Arum to prefer Pacquiao get a decision that first fight against Marquez.

that's a nice theory divac. arum never promoted pacquiao until the 2nd morales fight. so what's your next conspiracy theory? that arum paid the judges so that pac would sign for TR?

maybe you're right, arum paid one of the judges to score the round 1 10-7 rather than 10-6 thus jmm retaining his title.

I had Marquez winning all 3 fights. I had Marquez winning by a point in the first and second fight. I had the third fight 8-4 for Marquez.
