The two vintage Pac performances. They easily rank among the greatest single fight performances in boxing history, not just in modern times, but ever. Pac ran through these guys like a tank driving over an eggshell. Especially against Barrera. It took him about 3 or 4 rounds before he really started laying on ass kicking to Cotto. Non stop relentless power punches with speed and power. For 11 and 12 rounds. Coming from all angles. Walking through busted eardrums and flush counters. And just eating them like they were candy. Pac was nasty as hell back then. Who could come the closest to doing something like this today? Probably Rungvisai or maybe Gassiev. But I doubt they could even come close to a performance like these two.
Not with the combination of speed and power Pac exhibited no, There's no one out here currently that can do that. There's guys that can dominate, but not like that.
Overrated performances, as MAB was no longer in his prime and Cotto was just cheated by Margarito's hand wraps and drained. It was decent, but nowhere near as good as Mayweather beating up Corrales (Undefeated) May vs Corrales was the best performance in the 2000's
To be fair, Pac was already lighting him up in the 2nd round exchanges and knocked him down in the 3rd and 4th rounds. Granted, Cotto got some respite in the 5th. The early rounds had a superficial appearance of being highly competitive, but Pac was in control and doing damage.
