Is there anyone at 147 that can drop Margo?

A guy like Margarito will be tailor made for a fighter like Mayorga (who's been hit by harder puncher than Margarito)

 

No you're wrong, Berto has heavy hands, but he's not a huge puncher. Heavy hands he does have though. He's just not 1-punch KO style.. similar to Clottey who has heavy hands, but not a lot of power.

I also agree, there are no devasting punchers at 147. There's no Tito or Hearns-esque guys.

 

I might get flamed for this but after watching both fights over the weekend I feel Zab would have done much better against Margo.

 

I think Shane could KO Margarito - but it'll have to be one of those punches he doesn't really see coming - like Shane's Leaping Left Hook. The same one that ended Vargas' night.

 

Nah. I think Zab would have sparked margarito a couple of times but ultimatly gotten beaten up just as badly if not worse. No way Zab can stand up to Margarito's pressure.

 

That's just it everyone talks about going to his head which is iron attack the body is the key. BTW I don't see anyone stopping Margo at 147 can he be hurt yes but stopped is out of the question from a head shot.

 

Well the original thread question is "drop" him not stop him. I think under the right circumstances almost any fighter can be dropped even if it's just a flash knockdown.

 

He can definetely be dropped at 147, if he fights at 147.

Yeah I agree but Clottey was able to skillfully cut off the ring and avoid the majority of Zab's shots, something Margo wouldn't do, the shots Cotto threw were no where near as hard as the shots coming from Judah.

Berto & Mayorga are very hard punchers. De La Hoya has the power. Not saying they would beat Margarito, but they have the power to hurt him.
