I used to spar a pro heavyweight in london we where about the same size but he just couldnt control himself. I was getting ready for the abas. And needed some practice against tall strong fighters but it desended into a brawl everytime in the end my trainer told me to stop going i was getting bashed up bad. He did **** as a journyman and the reason was he was to gung ho in the gym, the reason to spar is to learn nothing else.

I fight at heavyweight 87-88kgs im rather tall 6ft4 1/2, there was a period at my gym when we lacked other heavyweights to spar with, so i always had to spar fast moving middle weights, until my coach called one of his old heavyweight students back for a sparring session, the guy was 40 years old, im 25, i thought"pffff old mans never going to keep up with me" the guy showed up at the gym weighing 160 Kgs of pure muscles tattoos everywhere and a really mean look to him ,I shat my pants, and the old ******* could move! We got in the ring and i froze i tried to move away from him and circle him but he kept cutting me and cornering me, anyway to cut a long story short, the guy broke my ribs...

That sounds pointless. Sparring is where you learn technique. You dont learn nothing by getting beat up.

there's a pro in my gym who makes a good coach but i hate sparring him. I'm bigger, less experienced, and a bit slower... one time i managed to have him outjabbed for a while and he proceeded to give me a jab, nut shot, overhand right combo and i wanted so badly to hip toss him and break his face with my elbow. what a *****.
