My mates think I'm lying, and I've never known anyone else to say it, but I've honestly never had a cramp. For those who know me from the Lounge, you'll know that I'm not trying to play the hard man here, I'm well known for being a *****.

Anyway, I'm just wondering why I've never had one. I've even been told that if I stick my leg out straight and squeeze my toes up I'm guaranteed to get one, but I tried that for a few minutes and felt nothing. I'm not complaining by any means, I've seen people have cramps and it doesn't look very nice, apparently the muscle goes really hard and you just can't move or anything.

You're obviously trying to play the hard man, if not, see a doctor.

Why would I want to see a doctor? I'm more than happy not getting cramps, they look ****ing painful. I know it might seem like I'm trying to sound macho and ****, but I'm not, I've just never had one and I'm not sure why.

I've only had a couple. The only times I have ever had one was in the middle night. I would getj them in the calf muscle and it woke me up. I had to get out of bed and walk it out. Hurt pretty bad.

I'm just ****ing around.:yep Seriously it's weird though..I never had a night cramp either, but the **** you told about squeezing your toes up does work for me. The pain just shoots in there..I feel bad for the people that experience it daily.

Cramps in the foot/calves sucks but its cause I dont have enough vitamins/minerals. I started eating bananas more often and havent had that prob for a while.

Rakim- Here's a good way to see what it feels like; clench your quadriceps as hard as you possible can (you know, the muscle in your upper leg, the one in front). Then release it. This is a charlie horse, and they hurt like a mother.

    Great fun, have a go........

I've only had one cramp, and it was about 1 month ago.

Maybe you're not all too crazy.

You've either never pushed yourself above the 100% limit, or you could simply have Hyper-mobility.

I play alot of football (soccer) and know alot of very good players who never get cramps. Its nothing to do with pushing yourself to the limit , its got alot to do with salt intake and water intake, general diet, stretches and gerneral fitness. Iv got a friend who play rugby as a pro , hes a black belt in ju jitsu, brown in aikido , does ground wrestling ect ect ect and never has cramp and hes always pushin 110%. If you dont get them congrats and i envy you cos i get them all the time no matter what i try lol, Tho they are better now im healthy eating and fitness wise. Youre a lucky ******* lol:happy

I get cramps only when I 99% provoke them, like flex and my flexed calf downwards with the foot.

A cramp is a general term though for a sudden shortening / discomfort of a muscle fibre. Anaerobic workouts or endurance training for muscle fibres will definately cause cramp due to lactic acid at some point in your work outs. Though generally they refer to the calves, it can happen in *any* part of the body. Even sitting in one position for a long time (inactivity) can cause cramps, having your arm squashed underneath you while sleeping can cause cramps. How can a person not have had at least a single experience of a muscle cramp in their ENTIRE LIFE? That person must be made of Jell-o or something.

Yeh i agree with you it is strange , this guy i know has had cramp but since hes bin in this super fit state hes never had it. It is unusual but i know a few who say theyve never had it. Weather there telling the truth or not i dunno. But if they are i envy them its the bane of my life along with shin splints lol
