Is there anyone in history 6' 1" and under who could beat Prime Mike Tyson?

Do you think there is any fighter in history who wasn't a giant like Lewis or Douglas who could beat Tyson?

This reminds me of how Frazier remarked he came forward just as fast as Ali moved backward. I don't know any heavyweight who is smaller and would be faster than a prime Mike Tyson, who stylistically wouldn't be blown out of the ring. I'm sure someone exists, but I don't know of them.

    Sonny Liston.
Joe Louis (I favor Tyson though).

Like someone around Holyfield's size? ;)

    I think Evander is like 6' 1 1/2", 6' 2" right? Then there's Louis, Marciano, Frazier...... I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

Oh yeah, Liston good shout. I like Louis over Tyson.

Could beat or would beat more often than not? Theres quite a few that could beat him (especially if allowed to adjust to the lax drug testing of the Tyson era)

If we are including the Tyson of the Douglas fight, then the field widens to include men like Jack Sharkey.

Unless he has a gun he has next to no shot.

I give Dempsey a slim punchers chance in a shootout. But if he doesn't manage to take him out in the first 2 rounds, he ain't winning.

Likewise, Tua has a shot but the difference in speed and skill might be too much. Tyson could end up decisioning him or stopping him late.

Louis and Liston would be incredibly exciting matchups.

I'm laughing at the idea of sending in a 185lb swarmer against Tyson. Yeah, stand in front of Tyson and throw. Great plan.

Marciano was not a mindless brawler.
