Wlad still has the guys that Vitali has beaten / will beat to rule the division completely on his own.

No one is left. All contenders, except Adamek, have been beaten. And Adamek will probably be beaten in a couple of months.

Guys like Boytsov, Dimitrenko, Chisora, Helenius, etc., are too green to be considered legitimate contenders. They are not in Haye's, Chagaev's or Chambers' level. It's like the ranking has been cleaned and we only have left a second tier of fighters.

Povetkin has ducked Wladimir during 2008-2010. I doubt they will give him a chance now. He'll have to earn it with a couple more wins to establish himself again.

Adamek is a legitimate contender. But he might be beaten in a couple months.

Arreola, Dimitrenko have already been beaten.

    Boystov and Helenius are prospects.

    Boswell?

Blah Blah Blah heavyweight division crap, when have we heard this before?

Joe Louis bum of the month, Larry Holmes domination, Marciano domination- take away Tyson in the late 80s and your champs are Tony Tucker, Bonecrusher Smith, Michael Spinks, Trevor Berbick, etc.

Before the Haye hype Klitschko's philosophy has always been to fight who is there and let history decide it later, which legacy wise, is the best thing you can do at this point.

Klitschko was leading 58–56 on all three judges' scorecards when the fight was stopped.

He was 38....and dodged Vitili for the next year when he retired at 39...

"""""Because Klitschko had fought so bravely against Lewis, boxing fans soon began calling for a rematch. The WBC agreed, and kept the Ukrainian as its No. 1 contender. Lewis initially was in favour of a rematch:

"I want the rematch, I enjoyed that fight. It was just a fight. We went at it. You have to play dollars and cents but I'm opting more for the rematch."[23]

Negotiations for the rematch followed but Lewis changed his mind [24] Instead, Klitschko fought and defeated Kirk Johnson on December 6 in WBC Eliminator, setting up a mandatory rematch with Lewis. Lewis announced his retirement shortly thereafter and vacated the title. Lewis commented later:

"So, when it came time for me to see if I should fight Klitschko again, I thought - at my worst, at my worst! I beat Klitschko and look what I did to his face! I was at my worst - just think [what would’ve happened] if I’d trained just a little bit harder. I didn’t need to fight him again."[25]""""""""""

Dodged him big time....not the thing one would expect from an ATG.

I agree that Lewis won the fight fairly and decisively, although he was having a hard time with Vitali. You are actually not contradicting anything I said. I think Lewis knew he was getting old. He had struggled with Vitali for much of the fight and didn´t want to risk losing the rematch and thus not be able to retire as a champion. I think I would have done the same if I had been Lewis. I still think it robbed the fans of a good fight.

I think Wlad should rematch Haye and try to KO him. Then he should just be active and try to take 3 fights a year and get some good highlight reel KOs.

wlad and vitali themselves have already been beaten, that makes no odds.

povetkin will prob beat chag for the WBA belt so he'll be the obviosu choice next.

arreola is back in the top 10 again and wlad has never faced him. plus he's got a good following. another obvious choice.

dmitrenko has just knocked out sosnowski wand is bigger than wlad. another obvious choice.

byt this point guys like boystov and helenius will be staples in the top 10 and solis will be on his way back. 3 more opponents right there.

easily enough to see Wald through the next 2-3 years.

    This.

Plus the IBF is going to mandate the winner of Chambers/Thompson. Both of those guys, especially Thompson, have ring experience with Wlad and will likely put on a better show the second time around.

I'd guess the next opponents will be:

    Arreola this Fall

    Chisora early next year

    Chambers/Thompson winner next summer

Dimitrenko next Fall, maybe Povetkin or Boytsov if they get back on the radar.

    Sometime next year, Helenius.

some good fighters like arreola and solis are left but they both lost to vitali

interesting chambers and thompson rematch availibilities

he'll probably face mandatories til guys like boystof and helenius and puleev are ready for the bigs

by then wlad will be winding down

VITALI!!! They say they never will but money and jealosy will bring out ugly things. And whoever wins can confidently say they beat the best heavyweight today.

I think if Solis can stay active he´ll make the most interesting Challenge.

I would say Povetkin, if he can step it up a bit. He seems to be fighting easier opponents then at the beginning of his career for some reason and I´m reluctant to mention him as a Wlad opponent after all that happened.

Still there isn´t really any opponent out there for Wlad that really excites me, other than Vitali if they could ever fight or if Wlad would go into K-1 or MMA, then I´d be pretty interested, but that´s not happening.
