He has two losses to Taylor. Even if we generously give them one apiece, that means he's about the equal of a guy who's not even the man at MWT, much less LTHWT.

He beat Tarver, who's claim to fame was catching an ageing Roy coming down in wt and then shot (lost first, won second).

Bernard's Lt Hvy record is 1-1.

His last 4 record (at all wts) is 2-2.

I'm a fan. He's an ATG middlwt, based on longevity and defenses and his refusal to age, but his resume is no more impressive than Calzaghe's and he's too old and unproven at 175 to merit any serious consideration for a victory over Calzaghe, at any wt.

Anymore than Tito's more deluded fans should have expected Felix to prevail over Bernard six years ago.

Make up your mind. Are you going by Ring Magazine and pre-set designations to decide who 'the man" is? Or are you using your own judgement as you said here?

Like I said, and you clearly can't grasp, if you are going to use some sort of pre-set designation to decide who the man is at LHW, basing it on who beat "the man" then Erdei is the man since he is the Lineal Champion. He beat the man (Gonzalez) who beat the man (DM) who beat the man (Hill). Any questions?

Its hilarious how the Hopkins fans suddenly are elevating Glen Johnson to the status as one of Hopkins best opponents...and i think anyone who thinks Johnson beats Kessler is on crack Mikkel would have very little trouble finding his chrome dome all night long...

as for Tarver **** me thats laugable...exactly what is a prime Tarver ? the one that lost to Eric Harding ? Or is it the one that lost to a shot RJJ ?

Or is it the one that got beat by the equally average Johnson ?

I think its time to bow down at Calzaghes altar and admit that the Old ******* has never beaten anyone as good as the biggest name on the Italian Dragons record

prime for prime kessler has no answer for Hopkins' sly boxing technique and awkward attacks and engagement,
Winky decisions Kessler at 168 lbs
Glen Johnson gives kessler a hell of a fight at super middle or light heavy
    Tarver knocks Kessler out

Roy Jones and that's it. I would pick Bernard Hopkins over Mikkel Kessler (not now of course), but Bernard isn't on his own resume so there that goes...

Most of Hopkins's opponents have been middleweights but I can name Jones, Johnson, Tarver and possibly Wright. How many of Joe's opponents could beat Hopkins? None.

Kessler and a prime Eubank would cause him plenty of trouble. You have to remember, Hopkins only likes picking on little guys:deal
