Pac's skill is unorthodox. His ability to throw punches in positions and stance that you don't normally do take skills. A different set of skills than your textbook punchers, but skills nonetheless.

In regards to textbook skills - PBF is on top. No one is close to him. Maybe Devon Alexander after 3-4 more years would be competitive with the 130 PBF. 147 PBF is a rarity- a historical rarity. Not as physical peak like his 130 version, but more skilled nonetheless.

you got your mind made up so i dont know why you're arguing

skills isn't defined one way, mayweather is skilled at what he does, pac is equally skilled in the style he fights, there is no wrong style of fighting in boxing.

I think Hopkins is skilled but not as athletic, but what he has is the best ringsmarts in the game today, bar none.

Anyone who doesn't realise just how incredibly skilled Pacquiao is, really needs to learn about boxing. Not that he needs defending - He's an all-time great with a fantastic resume for a modern day boxer, who has proved his worth in a legendary. You simply can't do that, without immense skills.

Watch his angles, his footwork, positioning or his ring generalship. Those people who don't realize his skills, think he is all speed and power - Nonsense.

But, then again, if Roberto Duran was around now, he would get the same comments from the same group of people. Henry Armstrong too.

No way is Dawson as talented. I must be the only one who remembers the whole forum shitting on him, after a couple of abysmal performances. He's looked good lately but he's not proved it against top talent.

As for 'who is more skilled', I'd say JMM and Hopkins.

Pac is very skilled, its just overshadowed by his athletic abilities. Maybe not textbook skill but his reactions, akward angles, footwork are all "skill".

I think Rigondeaux is one of the most skilled out there...perfect timing. He was apparently "schooling" the likes of Penalosa in sparring.

Exactly. Those are the same people who pick against him time and time again. Judah is just as "fast and powerful" as Pac...why did he get his ass beat by Cotto yet Pac demolished Cotto? Skill difference. Pac punches in combinations...akward combinations too, is combinations not classed as "skill" anymore?
