Is there anyone out there who still doubts Pacquiao is the best fighter in the world?

Difference between a 'no pushover' and a 'top tier fighter'. Margo is definitely not proven to be the latter, two victories over a non-top tier Cintron, a loss to Williams, a near loss to Clottey just make him look lesser than top 5.

Now this I will agree with, Margarito is definitely a clear level above David Diaz.

If Cotto gets as convincing a win over Margarito (something i doubt he can do) then I will rank that as a better win than Pacquiao's win over D. Diaz. But Pacquiao has proven himself consistantly. Cotto has just recently started to pop his head out at the elite level. So if he destroys Margo a question mark will remain if he can perform at that level consistantly. Pac has done so not only on a regular basis and against elite fighters, but also moving through multiple divisions.

from the pre-fight, all i heard was that Diaz was a paper champion and how Pac would destroy him, and how Morales really beat Diaz and just a load of all sorts of ****. now that Pac beat him, he is outright number 1? because he beat a paper champ? you can't call a guy a paper champion before the fight and then claim after Manny beats him that it was an amazing victory. Manny was number 2 on P4P before this fight, and thats where he stays.

You also have to take the fighters history into account. Margarito isn't one of the best fighters in the world, but he is without a shadow of a doubt one of the toughest. He hardly ever looks vunerable to getting stopped, and he will throw his shots under any circumstances. I would rather fight 2 David Diaz's at the same time, then take on one Margarito. If Cotto destroys Antonio, which will not happen, then he is in my opinion the best p4p fighter in the world.

if cotto does absolutely destroy him, say KO in the early rounds, then I really don't see how you could deny Cotto the top spot.

Even with a style advantage over him, he couldn't beat Pacquiao clearly. The judges didn't think he beat him at all. In any case, we all know who scored the KDs...

In my book, JMM is no. 2.

Manny scored the knockdowns, and Juan Marquez outboxed him over 12 rounds twice. The fights were close in my opinion, but he won both so he is my p4P #1. He is chasing Manny Pacquiao for another fight, and he sure as hell deserves one.

JMM's chances of winning are even slimmer at the higher weight, you are aware of that, right?

Joe Calzaghe is number 1. i scored his fight against Bernard 9-3, 116-111. A complete and utter thrashing.

Anybody who made a case for Bernard winning that fight was shrouded in national pride. There is simply no other reasonable explanation for giving a fighter who didn't throw any punches the nod.
