Is there anyone out there who still doubts Pacquiao is the best fighter in the world?

    Excellent fighter, but #1???

Didn't know tumbling down 4 times in 2 fights (5 actually-- including hanging on for dear life at the ropes) are the new criteria for being numero uno...;)

Being knocked down shamefully by a senior citizen who hardly threw a punch is hardly UTTER thrashing in Mr. Webster's book.:good

He also won those fights you are talking about. That certainly is criteria for being numero uno. :good

Yap, such a complete and utter thrashing that Enzo thought he needed a KO to win before the last round. He must have just wanted the cherry on the cake, right? :-( :verysad :-( :verysad :-(

i'd say 80% of the boxing fans have Pacman at number 1 and that is perfectly acceptable. he has staked his claim to number 1 by fighting and beating the best. no complaints at all with lists that read

Pac, Cal or JMM in any of the top 3, in any order. IMO, they are the three best in the world.

According to who? A blind zealot who sees boxing within the myopia of nationalistic bigotry? Some of you desperately needs to be man enough to grow up and accept reality as it is. Try it. It ain't that hard really.:yep

Well that's why it would be up for debate. Cotto hasn't done it as long, though I don't doubt his consistancy since he has already beaten Judah, Mosley, Quintana, and Malignaggi. Beating Margarito would confirm a pattern.

But Pacquiao has been doing it longer. So he gets the nod. For now. I don't pay much attention to the more divisions part. Pacquiao is older and therefore gaining more weight. Cotto will be at 154 in three years time.

I don't understand why you have such a problem with Calzaghe being number 1. perhaps you don't favor his fighting or techniques, or fighting style, but an impartial boxing fan would have no problem with Joe being on top, nor would they have a problem with Manny being on top. we obviously have different opinions, and thats cool. thats why these boards exist. but to try and poke a hole in everyone's opinions that differ from yours is far to time consuming, and well, pretty stupid.

Mate, if you can find another person here who thought Calzaghe completely and utterly thrashed Hopkins, call it a miracle - you have found your soulmate!:hi:

Still better than Diaz, and Cotto will destroy Margo in similiar fashion. If you agree with me that Margarito is not a top fighter that doesnt move you P4P, then you ought to with Diaz also for Pac. Or we find some issue's in ranking.

There are actually quite a few Brits who thought BHop won including the BBC team who covered the fight!

Marquez and Pac both have style advantages over each other, they both have things that they stylistically don't react with well, it's not a one sided coin. Pac being a quick southpaw is some thing that Marquez really doesn't prefer, even though Pac is vulnerable to counter punching, Marquez's best assett.

And Marquez did win clearly, **** the judges. Why are we support judges after everything that judges have done to rob fighters of their livelyhood and victories in the past?
