Wlad has good power and carries it into the later rounds better than just about any HW who ever lived, but I agree with Jack, he doesn't have the ko power of the greats. Where's the early kos? And don't give me the old "he's a safety first fighter" line, so was Lewis and he has quite a few. Since 2000 he has a handful of kos before round 6 and just about all those that he has ko'd early have been of a very very poor standard. Right now I'm not sure the HW scene has any massive hitters.
The man in this video may. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAn_BJuq6n4[/ame] Sure he´s fighting a can. But give me one Wlad KO thats even close to that.
Wlad KO's the best fighters in the division. That is what matters, not beating up on cans. Anyone can sit down on their punches fighting cab drivers but try doing it against the top contenders. Everything else is of secondary importance.
Which means they dont punch harder than Wlad. ****ing p4p is like some sort of highly contagious encephalitis.
I dont think accumulative punches are a good indicator of power. His ko's normally involve people eating his punches straight for 10 rounds. There are definitely people who hit harder, I'd be likely to even suggest Haye. If Wlad really sat down on his punches we would see some awesome power but he rarely seems to, looked a fearsome puncher pre sanders though, some of the hits he laid on mercer were tremendous.
He had Haye hurt once... Wladimir has been stopping everyone who came to fight him.. Did you know that Frazier's Ko % against natural heavies is less than 50 %?
