Is there anyone under 140 you'd favor over Pacquiao?

the thing about juan diaz is that he relies on punch accumulation rather than power to make his opponents quit. he does this by delivering short accurate punches in the inside.

on the other hand, pac is more of an outside offensive fighter. so, diaz has to trade w/ pac on the outside which is not his strength. pac does occassionally dart into the inside, flurries, and then immediately darts out. so, the baby bull has to contend with pac's foot speed and movement as diaz isn't known for holding in the inside.

freitas and julio diaz chose to trade with diaz in the inside for long, extended periods and that's what did them in.

If Pac fights that way against Guzman and JMM he will lose against both of them.

pac has always been more of an outside fighter even when he trades toe to toe. the difference is that now he has a wicked right hook counter, uses his jab more, has a sharp lead left and delivers hooks to the body. if pac was still purely the old one-two (telegraphic right jab-left straight) outside puncher like in the first marquez fight, he would be in trouble with both of them but he isn't anymore.

But let me change that, because I guess I think it is more or a toss up, then favoring Diaz. But I truly wouldn't favor any of them, it would be an even match.

As much as I am a fan of Pacman, I would have to say that Juan Diaz would be the favorite if they fight at 135. 1. Diaz naturally is the bigger fighter, who started in pros at 140, while Pacman started at 105 2. Diaz is extremely busy throwing punches non-stop from different angles.3 Diaz has a hell of a chin and hell of a stamina 4. If Pacmna goes up to 135 he will most certaintly lose some in the power, stamina and speed departments and these 3 are his main weapons.

exactly. I think Juan Diaz KO's pacman. Most of the pac fans are underrating Diaz but this is a fight they do not want. Before we talk about 135 we should first see whether or not pacman is the best at 130. Marquez already outboxed him and Guzman has some impressive wins at 130 himself.

Win or lose, I would love to see Pacman vs. Diaz as it has FOTY written all over it.

Guzman impressive wins at 130??? Which ones? The SD over the all-mighty Barrios or the snoozfest against Soto?
