Ward has demolished everyone and anyone in the super middle division. He also clipped Bad Chad which was never done before (who was the man at light heavy last I checked, beat Hopkins who beat everyone else). Kovalev wants absolutely none of Ward, he knows it and we know it.

Kovalev would probably greet that thought with a grin, then say "Let me try and resolve this problem. I think I can touch Ward. In the ring."

You can't exaggerate facts. And the fact is he beat everyone put in front of him decisively.

I didnt see the fight and tried to do a quick internet search on Sergey Kovalev . One of the things that popped up was that he put a guy in a coma and he eventually died. How long ago was that and is he over it?

So one knockdown in Ward's dominant career somehow increases Kovalov's chances? Im sure all of the other people that were supposed to "walk through" Ward thought that as well:roll:

Ward would be running scared against Kovy. Too small, no power to keep Kovy honest.

Guy who died was Roman Simakov, another Russian and fairly decent prospect. December 5th 2011. Kovalev was pretty badly cut up about it, unsurprisingly. He reportedly considered quitting, but apparently after discussion with the Simakov family, decided to continue his career.

He was back in the ring 1st June 2012 for a rematch against Darnell Boone and got a TKO 2 (the first fight was one of his 2 that have gone the distance) the 3 fights since have been TKO3s. I guess he's not let it put him off his game, but it's probably not the kinda thing you ever really get over.

His only draw was a technical decision in round 2 for an accidental foul against Grover Young. A headshot which landed on the back of Young's head as he turned away, hurting him badly. In most jurisdictions it would have been ruled a NC due to the early round. What I've seen of the footage makes it look very much as if he would have another TKO on his record if the fight had continued.

:goodIndeed. One thing I'm sure of is that Kovalev wouldn't be scared to take the fight. I wouldn't want to bet on the result, 'cos obviously Ward is pretty special, but he'd be fighting above his best weight and Kovalevs probably the one guy who I'd give a decent chance to.

Your right. Kovalev gets one KO and he's is being hyped out of this world on this forum. He has fought bums up to his last fight. Man if your white and from Europe(Not UK) it don't take much to impress on here. Kovalev looks about Abraham. Once he fights the top guys he want be able to land. Ward would beat Kovalev and I would favor Froch as well.
