Is there anyone who is not for the Super-Middle tourney?

I do not like that the tournament is round robin, I would prefer a lottery to pick the matchups, but I do like that top guys are fighting each other, although Bute should probably be in AA's spot.

 

It would not be hard to find fighters more qualifed to be there than Ward, Dirrell, and Abraham, but you can't have everything. i've never seen any real reason to subscribe to Showtime, but i'll be signing up soon!

 

I don't think Abraham's even fluent in German or Armenian. He just grunts and points like a savage warrior-king and if his entourage doesn't fetch exactly the right flavor of pudding (figgy) and bring it right the **** schnell they get KTFO.

 

I'm a Bute fan and I'm all for this tournament. I just wish Bute and Andrade were part of it, don't think anyone can fault me for that. Even the Bute haters should want these guys to be part of the tournament

 

Well they can have an epic trilogy, and the winner can be waiting at the end of the tunnel for the tournament winner. :happy

 

I smell something fishy, plus there should be more fighters. I am afraid of the criminal judges and referees looking like the Olympics.

 

How can he not be fluent in Armenian when thats where he born and lived till his teens.

I agree... I find myself thinking about this tournament in the strangest places. And I am just waiting for someoen to say - 'nooooooooot - gotcha!'

I would like to see Bute in there as well. I think he could have replaced Direll. I know that Direll is a tremendous prospect and may beat Bute. I just think that given the fact that Bute is more proven, experienced and a champ - that he could have gotten the place.

However, I am of course still a huge fan of the tournament as it will give us all an incredible amount of superfights over the next two years.

Also, I understand that some worthy fighters were bound to miss out. The winner of the tourney (and probably the no.2 and 3) will have boosted their resumes considerably after the tourney and will be the top dogs in the division and adjacent divisions without a doubt.

Bute needs to make himself attractive as an opponent to one of these three - so that he is ready for them when the tourney is decided.

 

If he beats Andrade, Bute can make a mega-fight with Pascal or he can try to get a fight with Dawson at some kind of catchweight or try to get Pavlik to move up. There are still options on the table. Even Hopkins will come out of the woodwork if the right kind of offer is on the table.

 

Again, should be more fighters in tournament.
