If he let GGG run his obvious course of total domination of the
160lb division, and then moved up and challenged GGG at the
middleweight limit and won. I'd crown him p4p #1 of all time.
    Over Ray Robinson. Why not?
Guess what though. T'would NEVER happ'n. Never in a million
years. Floyd's too sharp a business man to make a dumb move
like that. So, he'll have to settle for 1st ballot HOF'er

catchweights CAN work. its just whenever they're used, its to severely hamper one fighter

He could start fighting someone WORTH, for once.
His next fight will probably be against Amir Glass Khan, for the sole purpose of trying to revitalize his EMBARRASSING ko percentage.

As much as I hate the guy, there's no denying he's top 25. Most authorities can easily make a case for top 10.

His only problem historically speaking is the fact he fights in a weight limit. Whereas guys like Klitsckos, Lewis, and future ATGs very well may be just two big strong and fast for past HWs to hang with.

That aside, in history there are not 10 guys p4p who are better than Floyd Mayweather Jr.....he may have cheated his way in there, but aint been caught. He may have avoided his toughest fights out there, but he's remained undefeated.

You could argue a loss here to Castillo and theorize that Spadafora would have beaten him or Pacqioua would have brutalized him, but in the end those fights werent made and Mayweather is still undefeated pushing 50 fights.

If he beat Wladimir Klitschko and retired undefeated, I'd rate him the G.O.A.T.

bulk up to 168-180 seems legit lol, bulk up with fat and triple chins.

around? if he did this he would be the best, the very best. lets be honest. if he went up to beat GGG, he'd rate up very highly, or is GGG just another hype job once he gets beat. shaddap :rasta

Greb is like a damn unicorn (In a good way!)

Can't see Floyd ever surpassing him.

Floyd is up there with the best of all time already. He's faced world class fighters of every style and overcome them. His resume doesn't stack up to some of the other ATGs but his skills and longevity make up for it

He has 4 fights left. I'd like to see him beat Khan in UK, beat Adrien Broner, beat GGG an then his last fight against Manny. Imagine. Maybe swap the fights around though because people would just say Manny is even worse than he is now and Adrien Broner is likely to get better. Also one of the post I read about him moving up too SMW and fighting Ward or Froch is stupid. But if you think about it 6ft3 David Haye did something similar by facing 7ft1 Valuev. There again though Haye only won Valuev because Valuev wasn't a good boxer and was only good because of his height. The likes of Froch and Ward would be too big and also have the skills unlike Valuev. Floyd would have absolutely no chance.

He has to go back 4 years in time and fight and KO Pac.
Then fast forward to now and fight and KO Martinez and GGG.
Move up to SMW and KO Ward.
Skip LHW and Cruiser and KO Wlad in dominant fashion.

Then I'd rate him as p4p number of all time.

To even knock on the door and get into the discussion, he'd have to fight for another 5 years or so, and start by cleaning out the best at 154 and 160. Remaining undefeated is not necessarily a prerequisite.

Trying to be fair here, because it's obviously a different time and industry than when SRR fought.

Assuming he has only 4 fights, wins over Pac, Martinez, GGG and Ward would make him the GOAT imo.
