I mean, as i recall what actually happened was the fight was agreed 50/50.. then drug testing came up, floyds camp claimed they'd had this in place from day 1 of negotiations, i'm not sure what pacquiaos camp claimed...? What manny had initialy said was he didn't want testing up until a day before there fight (nobody else seems to have a problem with this.. i mean maliganagi was being tested fight week with broner...) anyways so ok floyd said.. ok we'l have a cut off of 14 days.. manny still refused saying he need 28 days if i remeber correctly. He said it was because 2 weeks before the fight he's in heavy training, i mean c'mon seriously? At the end of the day, the fight was off because manny had said no. If he'd said yes the fight would of happened?

Now the 2nd offer i agree is a little off wanting all the ppv, but then i remember seeing floyd saying what he actually offered was 40m within 72 hours, they'd then sort ppv out later.. but he and mayweather promotions would promote the event, not arum. So he'd then want the 35% arum takes every fight.. so really 40m isn't such a bad offer considering all of this, which is why floyd consistently said pacquiao had to get his business in order. If manny had of left arum the fight would of been made, i have no doubt.

And i agree, big floyd did unfairly accuse him, but its sports it happens to alot of successful athletes its part of the game nowadays. Take the test, prove you don't cheat.

Top 50 at least for me, maybe top 40.

And no beating Canelo isn't moving him up 5, 10, or ****ing 20 spots.

    It wasn't a simple request.

Now if Floyd had done the following:

Made it clear in 2008/2009 that he wished all future opponents to be OSDT'd, and then asked Manny to partake, and Manny had've refused, then I'd be the first one to start asking questions.

    But that did not happen.

They were originally negotiating back and forth through the media, and the testing wasn't an issue.

Then Big Floyd opened his big mouth, and then shortly after Floyd was issuing demands.

Now you can look at it two ways.

    1. To prove his innocence, Manny should have agreed to everything.

    2. If he'd done nothing wrong, then why should he have had to bow down to Floyd, who'd been disrespectful?

The problem with 1. is, if Manny had've agreed to everything, that would have given Floyd a huge amount of power in further negotiations.

It was a battle of ego's, and in the end they began trying to score points over each other, like two young children, trying to get the last word in.

The fighters who are currently agreeing to the same demands, haven't been publicly ridiculed and had to sue for defamation of character.

What if, after beating Canelo, he cleans out the JMW division by beating Trout and Lara, then he moves up to MW and fights and beats Martinez?

Even if he beats Wald it still would wouldn't do **** because PAC has already done that.

Floyd: What PAC is doing is as if I was knocking out heavyweight.

If he even look good versus ward at 168 the argument for his greatness could be made

Mayweather is already Top 10 all time. He has been on top for 17 years. He has literally outclassed 2 decades worth of fighters in 5 separate weight classes. He has defeated 20+ champions. Anyone who doesn't consider Mayweather one of the greatest fighters of all time is either void of boxing knowledge or they personally hate the success that Mayweather has got throughout his career. If you call yourself a "boxing" fan and are fans of the sweet science, but doesnt think Mayweather's talent & skills in the squared circle are some of the greatest ever, then you are delusional and naive. Its sad that someone with Floyds skills both offensively and defensively, as well as his dominance in the sport of boxing over the course of almost 2 decades, gets so much hate and criticism.

Anyone who thinks Mayweather is top 10 based on accomplishments knows absolutely nothing about boxing tbh.

Atg ranking are an opinion and nothing more, many people have never even seen more than 1 fight from those guys from 50 and 60's.
It would be easier to get some agreement if the ATG was changed to GOF, greatest of generation. Say 25 year sections.
I have seen Floyd and Pac and Cotto and Oscar fight 15 times each. How many have seen 15 of willie pep or Ali? Maybe if your 60 years old.
I started watching boxing in 1990 and in that time there are only a few guys that I have seen that come close to Floyd: Whitaker,Oscar,Wright,Hopkins,Tyson
All for different reasons of course but greatness does not happen every day.
