    I must admit Mayweather is the complete package. I hate his outside ring persona though and hope somebody whoops that ass.

    Mayweather is a complete package. Anyone who tries to dissect his game is simply wishful thinking. Period.

    You didn't even read my post obviously. Noone has forced him to throw combos? What does that even mean? A fighter who pushes him and generally makes things uncomfortable for him isn't going to force him to throw combos, they're going to make him go into a shell and lessen his workrate, which we've seen a lot of from him. It's the lesser fighters who show him nothing in return that he's able to unleash his combinations on, such as Gatti.

    Every Possible Boxing Skill is in Floyds skill set

    -A+++ Defensive ability
    -A++ Offensive Ability (through defense)
    - A+++ Tactician (born for the sport)
    - A+ Physical Ability (combination of Speed, Strength, Agility, Endurance)

    Anything Most people say about him is a lack in decision making or a variable

    variable = bad hands (not guaranteed to get messed up every fight)
    choice = low work rate
    choice = not an offensive fighter
    choice = boring
    choice = runs away from his opponents instead of going toe to toe

    the list of choice and variables goes on and on....

    at the end of the day floyds skill set is more or less endless

    Nah when he fought Chavez he was throwing like 8 punch combos, and Chavez was 35-1 at the time.

    That does not make sense. Why would it be a choice for him to not throw a combination or fight negatively? If that was true wouldn't we be assuming that Mayweather does not want to fight as impressively as he possibly can? That's not logical.

    There are two men in the ring. Perhaps there are certain things in the armoury of opponents that force him to do that. Or perhaps something lacking from Mayweather, maybe mentally.

    its a choice..

    why does margarito not fight a more defensive fighting style?
    why is mayorga wreckless as hell when he fights?
    why does paul williams change fighting strategies every fight?

    these are choices that boxers make depending on their opponent and success rate using their respective styles.... Floyd has shown us every fighting style in the book... fighting inside, outside, offensive, defensive, counter, slug, potshot, lead offensively.. we already know he can do all that stuff... what he chooses to do is work off his defense because that makes the fights easier for him... now granted it might be harder to win all of these fights using different techniques ... he is still capable of fighting ANY STYLE IN THE BOOK!...

    He was incredible at the lower weights but he's got no business at 147 because he acts like a %ussy not wanting to challenge himself and take a risk.

    If it wasn't for his oppenents making the fight happen by trying to hunt him down and fight him, he would send us all to king sleep with pot shotting all night and running like a %itch.

    Get in there with Williams + Margarito or stay retired or drop down to 140 and take on the Timothy Bradleys of the boxing world.

    No Point coming back to fight Hatton, everyone would want to see him against Pacman because everyone would want to see Pacman beat him and I would be the 1st to want to see that because I cant wait until Floyds MASSIVE EGO gets bruised but I think it will take someone bigger than Pacman to do the job. Bring On the big welters, PW and AM

    That's pretty much it, and the source of most of his criticism. He certainly showed through out the first portion of his career that he could and most often was exciting as hell, and even had a respectable KO ratio going.

    But then, he seemed content later to just cruise and only do what was necessary for the W, instead of being the fire filled boxing machine we had enjoyed watching on his way up.

    Probably mostly the hands, and the fact he was facing larger heavier dudes that required a hell of lot more to get out of there, so he just cruise and make them look silly.

    Boring or fun, depending on your taste.

    Saw Walk With Me's post after I hit mine, I agree. Spot on.

    It does not make sense because Mayweather has shown he CAN throw combinations and he CAN fight offensively when he wants to.

    Keeping that in mind, why would he randomly decide to fight defensively or potshot? It makes no sense whatsoever. Give some credit to what his opponents are doing that stops him from doing that.

    Floyd Mayweather does not turn up and decide to throw less punches and backtrack. He responds to what his opponent his doing, he's forced into it. It's not a choice.

    And with all that said and done you hit the nail on the head. He knows what he can and cant do against whoever the opponent maybe and maybe just maybe this could be why we havent seen him take a risk yet by fighting AM or PW. I think that if Floyd hurt his hand in a fight against PW or AM there is no way in hell he would be able to get away with what he got away with doing against Jose Luis Castillo in their 1st fight because apparently he was fighting one handed in that fight after he hurt it in one of the rounds... he would get taken to the cleaners if his hand ever went in a fight against a big welter like those 2 guys...
