Supposedly there was no news for a while and a couple of hints that the fight was very close to getting made via Oscar and Arum, but then it looks like we're really still in square 1 with the fight purse. This was the first issue that everyone was apprehensive about back in november post cotto, and its still the main issue at hand..atsch
Fight is pretty much done, both sides are just figuring out where they want the fight, read it was a toss up between some gigantic temporary stadium at the Wynn Las Vegas vs. MGM Grand
Personally, I believe that the fight is nowhere NEAR being signed...there are too many conflicting reports coming out. But hey, hope I'm wrong.
Dont take an article from that particular writer to judge how far along the negotiations are. Notice there is no timetable in his article. Just said that the split was turned down. For all we know that happened at the beginning of the process and they are past it already. The fight is in November. Dont sweat it, they are in no rush. The fight will happen.
