Is there really that much between Fury and Joshua?

I agree with just about everything but I had misread this part and at first was like no way :

So Fury's performance against Whyte was vastly superior, as was the Wlad fight: that was statistically the greatest defensive masterclass in boxing history.

But rereading it you might have a point with the Statistically angle. Im half awake and have had my coffee yet I’ll need to think about this when I’m awake lol

AJ has the better resume, but Fury is much the better boxer.
He beats Joshua every day of the week & twice on a Sunday.

I don't see why when Fury hasn't fought those guys. For me what makes him lower is he got caught by Wlad and Whyte, common opponents.

AJ's resume sucks I suspect Fury will try to fight him to save face with the Usyk butthurt after AJ spanks the American. Fury will school on him big time.

Not sure what Usyk is going to do...I don't see him fighting his mando but I see him having a hard time holding onto all them belts or making any decent money. Won't go near Wilder unless his team are insane.

Joshua’s resume may well suck. My point was it’s still better than Fury’s.
Unlike you, I’m not a fan of either. Get over it.

I am a decipal of Fury not a fan. Fans have biases and struggle to understand the gospel word of Fury which it very hard to decipher at times.

I would have been an AJ fan if he didn't get gifted a gold medal and have a good boy facade.

I never was a fan of Joshua, I think in someways he is judged unfairly, that said Fury is a clear level above Joshua and it would show in the ring. Sure Fury has a lot of fluff in between the best names on his resume but he as been far more dominant

Fury would also never lose to Ruiz, is at the worst pick em vs Usyk and I think Wilder would knock Joshua out

Shutout where 1-2 punches a round separate you. It was an absolute joke of a fight. But yeah I had it 10-2, a real shame that it was such a horrific bout

"But rereading it you might have a point with the Statistically angle"

I challenge anyone to find a fight where a contender limited the champion to fewer than 52 punches landed (Compubox) over 12 rounds and still won the fight. Statistically I'm confident it's true. Then throw in that Fury won 8-4/9-3 on the cards, in the A-side champion P4P. No.2's backyard.

Wach and Povetkin (Greco-Roman wrestling match) landed more on Wlad than Wlad landed on Fury over 12.

    "has the deeper resume"

This has always been a myth peddled by Hearn. For a start Joshua has 3 losses. If you want to claim that Joshua's record is stronger because he's faced tougher competition than Fury then I still don't agree but by that standard Chisora has the best record in the division (Fury x3, Vitali, Haye, Usyk etc.) Joshua has virtually always had home and A-side advantage and barely fought any punchers since Wlad. Simplified comparison:

    Wlad
    Wilder x3
    Cunningham
    Wallin
    Whyte
    Chisora x2

    Wlad
    Povetkin
    Whyte
    Ruiz 2
    Parker
    Pulev
