Is there really that much between Fury and Joshua?

I know, I didn't count fight three. It was too much of a gimme. But at the same time, I gave Joshua the benefit of the doubt by not removing Pulev, who (somewhat controversially) lost to Chisora just before he fought Fury. No one can accuse me of being biased against AJ!

Some really well argued posts and debate here. Especially from @Redbeard7 and @Rumsfeld

I know Fury is public enemy number one on here atm, and I’m feeling very frustrated with him too, but it’s nice to see some objectivity despite this. Been far too much rubbish on here over the last few days.

I’d say they are. They clearly come down on the side of Fury, but they don’t unfairly discredit Joshua.

Mayweather waited out Pacquiao for 7 years

Fury being a bipolar dick and Usyk not willing to give everything away was a natural conclusion.

Don't have to worry about Fury just waiting guys out...or maybe we do? Even if Fury fought and beat him this year there would still be people coming out of the woodwork to claim Usyk was small and old.

Everyone needs to remember Fury eeked out a razor thin decision against Wlad who couldn't pull the trigger and went into mental mode to avoid the rematch. AJ knocked Wlad out. It was later on but Wlad was much better that night.

Razor thin? Come on.. as much of a stinker as the fight was Klitschko was neutered in that fight , Fury mugged him. Made him look a fool.. he was 'better' against AJ because Joshua doesn't have the ability to move like Fury & clown his opponents. Fury can go f*** himself after this recent debacle but let's not start making out Joshua is something he isn't just because Furys rep is in the shitter.. Joshua got overrated bad.

Exactly, well said. Incredibly simplistic take to say the Fury fight was close just because it wasn’t easy on the eye.

Interesting that you see words like “shopworn” and talk about “wear” on fighters when Johnson and W Klit are mentioned. When it comes to common opponent Whyte however it’s simply Whyte v Joshua was “a war” where as fury won easily, omitting the fact it was early in Joshua’s career and Fury faced him recently after Whyte had already been knocked out by Joshua and Povetkin (as well as only been a few seconds away from losing to Parker when he was completely finished at the end of the 12th)

This is without even mentioning the two Chisora fights. I can’t think of another active fighter who could be described better as being shopworn than Whyte is, not that I ever rated him anyway but that’s not the point.

Context is only applied with certain posters on this site when it suits them, objective is certainly not the word I would use to describe them.

Both had equal performances against Wlad ??? Lol

One barely got hit whilst winning round after round (in Wlad's own back yard) and the other went life and death on home soil whilst being put on his backside.

Whyte hurt AJ early in there fight whilst he didn't lay a glove on Fury who took him out earlier than AJ did.
