About ludicrous scoring like the two fights tonight? I know there's already a couple of threads up complaining about it but that's not really what this thread is for. I am honestly curious as to whether there is anything we can do. Can we write the athletic commissions that sanction the fights these ridiculous cards are drawn up at or something? Is there a fax number? Governing body? SOMETHING?:huh

no, unless the winners are determined by some kind of viewer voting system like in those old tv game shows, even then there would still be corruption. I think bad scorecards are just somethign we have to live with, unless you want open scoring.

So we can get prominent radio and tv personalities fired but we can't do anything about some half ass boxing judge?

I dont' really think you can fault a judge for terrible scorecards unless you got concrete evidence they were paid in advance to be generous towards a specific fighter in a match. Judges are subjective and are going to have different cards because they are swayed by different things in a fight. If one is outrageously different then the others and there was no foul play involved (he/she wasn't paid off), that's fair game unfortunately......maybe judges that frequently put out questionable cards should be suspended or sacked altogether?

That's what I'm getting at. And I think faxes are the way to go if we can get some legit fax numbers for the commissions that hire these clowns and make sure they need to have their paper re-stocked every day next week. I don't have a problem with controversial decisions, but both fights tonight were HUGE blow outs with absolutely no excuse for the pathetic scoring. All six of em should be looking for new jobs.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but you can't really remove a judge unless you have evidence he's in someone's pocket. A judge can come up with some riddiculous scorecards that everyone disagree's with and to save face he can just point out that he scored it the way he saw it and the things he looked for was different from the others. I'm PRETTY sure though that judges that are blatantly bad don't keep their jobs for long.
