Would you still be interested in it? If it was a PPV in 2012, would you buy it?

I would be interested in seeing Gamboa vs. Lopez more if Lopez avenges his loss to Salado first. Without it, the fight still generates interest, but its just not PPV material.

Terrible business move by Arum not putting these guys in the ring sooner. Both guys are good, but at the same time beatable. They aren't pac/may. You can't depend on these 2 to go undefeated until they meet. Anything can happen in boxing. Everyone lost interest. Gamboa is now on the road to chase his dream fight with Pacquaio

I would like to see it but not on PPV. I would not watch it on PPV even if both were still undefeated. I think most boxing fans will also like to watch it.

Many are easily influenced by the media on what will make a good fight. In my opinion, the Juanma fight was an early stoppage. I don't see how one loss makes him a bum and unworthy of fighting Gamboa. It simply boils down to the unaware public who easily buys and percieves two undefeated boxers as a great match. This is what causes many boxers to not take fights which may be more exciting because mainstream media only credits those that are undefeated. Ironically, those folks create the Chavez jr, Canelo, Bradley, etc, who cherry pick as they are afraid of real fights.

Juanma needs to go on a win streak versus some respectable opponents to make this fight attractive again. I had been telling everyone for more than 2 years that Arum is playing Russian Roulette with Juanma. Juanma get hit too damn much and Arum needed to make this fight soon (Gamboa vs Juanma) before he gets knocked out...well guess what happened. Same this that's going on right now with Pacquiao. Arum and Roach are running out of aging, slow, easy-2-hit fighters for Pacquiao to fight. Sooner or later he's going to have to fight someone with a Pulse. And we all saw, a 38 yr old lightweight gave the so-called best fighter in world, all he could handle. And after JMM exposed Pacquiao for more than have the fight, interest appears to be not as HYPED for an fight between Pac sv FMJ. It would be in Arum's best interest to make this fight soon...OH WELL!!!

They killed a money fight for him too. Now the only thing Arum can come up with is having him move up two divisions to fight a guy with a smaller fanbase than Lopez.

    More interested in Lopez/Donaire now.

Gamboa already has Brandon Rios at Lightweight. So Lopez should go after someone else. Bring on the Filipino Flash.
