Was the TKO Tim Witherspoon produced on Frank Bruno at the Wembley Stadium something other than BRUTAL? Or was not that a technical stoppage?

That was a dominating performance but I can't see anything brutal or punishing about it, and I mean no disrespect to Wladimir. Buddy stopped the fight because he could get punished if the fight was to go beyond that point and Brewsta was doing nothing about it... Wladimir commanded and controlled the full six rounds but that was not a direct referee intervention.

The 3rd video was disturbing, to say the least. Even the guy who knocked the other guy, was looking at the referee to stop it, the ref stepped in way, way, way to late.

I don't think this is any question at all.

just because someone calls himself 'boxingguru' doesnt mean that he really knows what he's talking about.

besides, i remember when he made a thread asking why delahoya gets all the big fights that he wants.:lol:

But surely a "guru" would try to defend his argument, no?

I mean, he voted on this poll.

Surely, a "guru" could at least intelligently defend his statement by discussing how none of the TKOs I showed below, including the tragic death of The Kid, were brutal, right?

Absolutely and that was a merciful stoppage as Traci Byrd, their children and relatives were watching Wladimir burst him up on the ropes...

But I have even a better "Brutal TKO" that comes up in our minds - anybody would know how JLC and Chico Corrales unification bout would end - they were just nitro and glycerin, together create a chemical compound of unmitigated mayhem that's more akin to warfare than sport... "Absolutely the best fight I ever saw" Cali ref Marty Sammon. "It was absolutely enthralling " Nevada commissioner's executive director Marc Ratner. RIP Chico.

The most brutal KOES are TKOs because the ref will not count.

Depends entirely on your definition of brutal.

I personally would not call any TKO brutal. Devastating maybe, but whether it was 'brutal' or not I probably would never say 'brutal TKO', it just does not sound right. To me at least.

I think you can make a case for TKO's being potentially more brutal than one-punch KO's, because TKO's often involve prolonged, accumulating beatings, and one-punch KO's may leave a fighter with his face as pretty as Muhammad Ali's.
Unless of course by "brutal" you really mean "spectacular".
In that case, one-punch KO's are of course more "brutal" hands down.
