    The point that I made which WiddowMaker evaded that by his definition of a check hook, then Manny's 'right hook, roll under' is also a check hook . . . .

    poor Hatton, always getting decked by check hooks

    I never claimed that I was the king of check hooks, or that Wlad can't throw them - my point was that from my understanding the punch WiddowMaker posted was not a check hook, but a standard hook with an evasive head movement

    I would definitely say that I could be convinced the hook that MrMagic put up was more of a check hook than the other one. Whether it is or not I'm not sure because I'm no expert on the subject.

    The Judah one on Mayweather is even better, even though it ends up as a bit of an arm punch because Floyd steps outside his right foot.

    Yeah sorry didn't see that one, that's the best example yet I think other than the Mayweather Hatton one of course.

    I don't think Wlad catches them coming in as such, he just counters their punch with a hook. With that Judah one it looks like he's stepping back and catching Mayweather coming in which leaves Floyd off balance.
