Accidental for the eyes of the neutrals and spectators when watching it live but B-Hop is the master of using dirty tricks without nearly anyone taking notice...

deliberate. But not easy to do at all. Its a counter-butt.

No way even the best ref could call it deliberate though because Calzaghe is lunging in so it looks like its his fault.

Calzaghe got owned in that exchange.

deliberate. hopkins walked calzaghe into that butt by letting him chase him, then a suden stop, lowers his head and throws a little 3 punch combo puntuated by a trademark right.

This is what frustrated me about Hopkins. Joe was trying to counter 3 things that night, Hop left hand, right hand and his head. He doesnt fight like that because its better for his posture, he does it cos he knows everytime he throws a punch, his head comes with it and it throws Joe off because of defending against his fists, he has to defend against his head too. The ref wouldnt notice otherwise too and if he did, he cant prove its deliberate!

the headbutt - righthand combo is Hopkins' best combination. noone does it better and the refs never catch him.

Kendal Holt's headbutt was accidental. He couldn't time a headbutt like Hopkins if his life depended on it.

Lol just watch the first round Jim comments on BHop and his headbutts:

"2 of Hopkins last 4 fights, the opponent wound up with a cut as a result of a butt. And Hopkins acknowledge that he spent a good deal of time studying Calzaghes fight with Bika where he suffered the worst cut of his career as a result of a butt!"

    His intentions were very clear.
