Is this a good live card for a first timer?

My boss has been a casual boxing fan for decades but has never been to a live fight and wants me to pick out a good local card for a few of us to go to.

On January 10th, there is a card close to us with the below fights but I’m only familiar with one of the fighters. I’ve seen Kingsley Ibeh several times so I know what I’m getting with him, but I’ve never seen his opponent nor the co-main event guys.

Would this be a good first live boxing match to take him to you think? Are Brooks and Morales any good, or at least have fan friendly styles?

Fighting for the WBC Heavyweight Continental Title

Kingsley "The Lion" Ibeh (14-2-1, 12 KOs) vs. Scott "The Relentless" Alexander (17-6-1, 9 KOs)

Fighting for the WBA Featherweight Continental Title

Austin "The Beast" Brooks (12-0-1, 5 KOs) vs. Rosalindo "The Bull" Morales (10-1-0, 2 KOs)

I would just go, especially early. Prelim prospects usually fight ultra aggressive trying to make names for themselves. Good main events have always just been a cherry on top when it comes local cards.

If you really want to get your boss excited you should bring him to a mega fight with Canelo or someone else with a massive fan base. The atmosphere at those fights are electric and very addicting!

or if you stay local, make sure it’s a local talent with a big following, it always makes it more fun when the whole crowd are into the fight.

Hahaha, if only my friend. I don’t have that kind of money to take him to a fight of that magnitude lol. Though I agree with you 100%, it is one hell of an experience being at a fight of that caliber! Miss those days lol.

Haha, yeah, it really is, I went to Canelo vs Berlanga, I’m not a big fan of either but you’re right, it’s one hell of experience to be at a fight like that.
