Yes. It's a pull-counter with the pull being done by the feet (as opposed to the upper-body like Floyd or Ali often do it). In the gym I've always been taught to throw the right after pulling my whole body back, like JMM did there.
I don't have a link (sorry :!, but I wanna know if it's a pull counter Holyfield did to Mike Tyson in the first fight to start the TKO? [yt]vvg5sh7sjsU[/yt] Start watching at about 36:25
Link doesnt work, but I assume its the 10th round & Holy feints, takes a half step back to make Tyson miss then nails him with a right hand. Yeah, thats a pull-counter using his feet rather than upper-body movement,
For some strange reason all my Kell Brook gifs have dissappeared but his pull counters are sick. Brook a G:smoke Edit: Nice one Miniq.
This content is protected Pull counters are great. Shows a boxer is really thinking and bieng pre-emptive in his moves.
why is round 10 always the worst round for tyson? Buster Douglas hurt him badly in round 10 and same with holyfield
Is it? I thought Floyd's pull counter is done with his feet. Every time I see Floyd do the pull counter, he anticipates his opponent's punch/reaching jab by planting his right foot first, leans back on the jan, then POOOOWWWW!!!! please educate me if Im wrong. never did this against other opponents except against my 4 year old son:nut
