we got a different showtime crew 2 weeks ago than al bernstein in europe , but they were very good.. what fight was that ? 2 weeks a long time in boxing
A lot of times these fights are advertised on HBO, but the HBO team (Lampley, Merchant, etc) is not there.
It was the Shobox guys. Showtime has two regular sets of commentators, just like HBO. Bernstein doesn't do every Showtime fight, just like Lampley doesn't do every HBO fight. Typically Nick Charles and Steve Farhood do Friday night Shobox, while Al Bernstein and Steve Albert handle most of the Saturday night fights. Likewise Bob Papa, Lennox Lewis, and Larry Merchant seems to be HBO's BAD team, while Jim Lampley, Emmanuel Steward and Max Kellerman have become the WCB broadcast staples.
2 men understated very calm and good commentary cannot remember there names ,first time i had heard them but i enjoyed there laid back commentary and there style . i like the hbo team just not hypermouth. only problem they all talk a little to much during the fight but all in all i think they are good.
is there anyone else ? i do not think it was steve farood, i have read his articles for years and years and would have remembered his name. it was not that don king motormouth big bob sheridan. absolutley hate his motormouth non stop dont take a breath style.
