Bodybuilders don't work as hard as they would like to believe. Construction workers, migrant field hands, movers, UPS drivers, etc. all work much harder every week. And none of those people worry about protein or take supplements for their jobs. They just eat a good diet and their bodies adapt with no problem. A bodybuilder can only work out 10 hours a week at the most because of the recovery time required by the muscles. Marathon runners, boxers, Olympic athletes, Navy SEALs, Army Rangers, etc. all train much harder and they do it without supplements.
Nutritionally and so forth they have to have a lot of discipline. It's not like they can get home from a rough day like most workers and eat as much as they want for recovery. Their eating is way more scientific. But yeah, imo there's nothing particularly badass about bodybuilding. I'd even go so far as to call it ridiculous and uberghey.
Depends on what kind of bodybuilder we're talking about. Are we talking about your average gym rat who does recreational bodybuilding? In that case I'd agree. From experience that majority of them don't train particularly hard, and any progress they make is almost by accident. But then again I'd say the same for people who train martial arts, boxing or tennis recreationally as well. If we're talking about the serious, competitive bodybuillders, either amateur or pro, natural or otherwise then I entirely disagree. I know a number of guys who have competed in bodybuilding at various levels, and they have all said that it the single most unpleasant and difficult endeavour they've ever undertaken.
raw food contains a lot of enzymes, which are also made of amino acids just like protien, they are much smaller and more fragile molecules and are destroyed by cooking. scientists are not capable of analyzing uncooked food yet so they basically ignore everything that gets destroyed by cooking and consistently fail to mention the fact that you don't need to eat protein at all, you need amino acids and you can get all you need from eating a few servings of raw fruits and vegetables every day.
So if science can't prove that why are you posting it? Better yet what does this have to do with bodybuilders son?
people talking about eating protein. im just tired and felt like babbling about them because it is interesting. we know that living things are loaded with enzymes, they just cant measure the exact amount. in simple terms enzymes are like little building machines that do things inside of cells and make life happen, it is impossible for anything to be alive without lots of them.
At the top weights of bodybuilding steroids are required. You're not one of these silly people that see steroids as "cheating" are you? And it really isn't difficult to get your hands on steroids if you know where to go.
You'll have to explain how taking steroids is "pathetic". :huh I can see why you'd say that if it's to get an edge in a competitive sport where nobody else takes the drugs, that's cheating, winning at all costs bull****. But when it comes to competitive bodybuilding when everybody knows who's taking steroids, I don't see the problem....
Are you completely ******ed dude? Protein is amino acids, amino acids are proteins. Why talk if you're clueless?
Not accurate at all. I think bodybuilding is probably the gayest thing a man can do besides taking it in the bum but to say they don't work hard is ignorant. All these other athletes need time to recover aswell, how hard you work can't be measured by the amount of time working. Bodybuilders try to get lactic acid (the burn) buildup and they actually train alot, what they do isn't close to being easy and requires alot of discipline. Probably more than just about any athlete, for them training needs to be an obsession. To compete and take it seriously you have to be a vain, hardworking person.
