Is this at least the second best era ever for the HW division?

A Journeyman will probably end Holyfield's career as well.

A Journeyman beat the **** outta Wlad 2 times in HIS PRIME!!!

I mean, how the **** are you not prime when you got a GOLD MEDAL amateur experience, and 40 fights and 6 title defenses.

    HA HA.

Ya'll kill me. Tyson would DEMOLISH Wlad. It would NEVER be close. Tyson could take shots AND give shots. Mother ****er wasn't no punk like Wlad.

Why can't ya'll recognize the truth. Wlad was beat by some garbage men and almost knocked out by a CAVEMAN.

    Please....

And you talk about quitting? Big bad Vitali up on the scorecards QUIT against LIL TINY ass BYRD who has NO PUNCH.

Meanwhile an OLD AS HELL Holyfield Tore his rotator CUFF and FOUGHT all THE WAY TILL THE BELL pushin Byrd off.

Byrd was the one pushin Vitlali around at the end of that fight.

Get outta here with your bull****...

Its not nearly as bad as everyone says.

That being said, its not the second, third or even fourth best era.

Really looking forward to the new era of Helenius, Pulev, Glaskov, Boytsov, Stiverne, Abdulsalamov, Fury, Chisora, Price, Dallas, Towers, Sexton, Wilder, Mitchell, Hanks, Hammer, Madison, Gerber, Wallisch, Zimnoch, Teper, Wach, Warcyk, Ustinov, Pala, and whatver veterens stick around.

it is a **** era, no question. Haye or Wlad would get brutilized in the 90's/70's and many other eras. Vitali would lose too many as well.

and take those 3 fighters out and you have nothing. 3 B-grade HWs ruling the divsion.

Wlad's record is impressive but he never beat one world class HW. Says it all.

I got to say mate that you sound about two. Your comments about Tyson are just plain ignorant of circumstances surrounding him and you show absolutely no respect for what he achieved or what he was about.
Do you think Tyson wanted to be in the ring in his last few fights? Or do you think he was just trying to pay bills?
Chances are Wlad won't find himself in the position Tyson did at the end of his career. If somehow he did, i wouldn't fancy him to take the beatings that Tyson did. Infact far from it, i don't think he could earn that badge of bravery. Wlad is a top fighter, but brave he is not.
I'm not defending Tyson, has it's hard to feel for someone who can lose all that money. But don't for one second sit there and say the man had no heart. **** me! Every defeat other than Holyfield 2, he took his lumps like a man. Wlad folds like a pack of cards at the first sign of real damage. The reason being is that one is a born fighter, and the other is a manufactured one.
For the record prime Wlad v prime Tyson. It wouldn't even be close sunshine.
Grow up a bit and learn to have a proper debate on a subject and take in all the facts.

Not as good as the 90s or 70s, but probably on par with the 80s and better than all the shite that came before :deal

Lewis, Holmes, Tyson, Bowe, Holyfield all fought in the 00s :deal:deal

Also the decade where heavyweight boxing REALLY opened up to the world :good

...unlike the almost laughable old eras where US level fighters fought for the US title and never tested themselves against Euro level fighters- sometimes they didn't even fight guys with a different skin colour :rofl

You don't know a thing about modern heavyweights. So Byrd wasn't a world class fighter? Ibragimov and Chagaev weren't world class fighters?

Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield could no longer handle competition in early 00s and were forced to retire or reduced to journeyman level. And Foreman became a champ in 90s at 45. That's just to put things into perspective.

So what your saying is that todays division is good because three great fighters got old.:huh
Regarding Foreman, how did he do against Holyfield or Morrison, infact how was he doing with Moorer up until he landed big? And did he fight Lewis, Tyson or Bowe?
Did an ancient Holyfield not arguably win against Valuev in this era. A titlist just like Moorer was.
    You put nothing in perspective.

The reason why these guys have good records are because they beat down on fighters who also compete in the same **** division. If those guys fought in other eras (with the training methods used in that era, as it is complete BS if you don't state that stipulation. PED's are real, people, why do you think the average elite heavyweight went from 195-210 lbs. to 240-250 lbs?), all of these guys spare for the Klitschko's get convincingly beaten by the top contenders, let alone that era's champions.

Haye and Adamek's competition at heavyweight is laughable compared to the acknowledgment they receive. The heavyweight division is the biggest moneymaker in the sport and has the most prior glory. Because of these two huge reasons guys like: Arreola, Solis, Dimitrenko, Helenius, etc. are (boxing fans') household names.

It is not as dreadful as some make it out to be, but no decade is worse.
