Based on what exactly? Kell Brook fought a guy with 100+ losses three times and he fought a career bantamweight with 80+ losses twice (early in Brooks career) yet folks are parading him around as the special one

Look at Bazerras record most of the opponents have winning records or are undefeated

Throw all assessments to the garbage bin... One glance at this guys incredibly padded record and a few minutes of tape viewing is enough for anybody with sense to conclude that this guy isn't operating anywhere near world level, nevermind being a sleeping giant.

Interesting that you dont make the comparison to Pacquiao. This is the problem with boxing these days. Just because a guy is unknown doesnt mean he is not world level, he is just waiting for his shot like Pac, GGG, Kovalev, Beterbiev, indongo and other foreign fighters had to

Look at how many other fighters have padded records like AJ, Wilder and Fury (excluding klitschko) enough with the UK/USA bias man.

Why is it ok for the people above to fight exclusively in their home countries yet when others do it it makes them suspicious all of a sudden. AJs record is as padded as you can get

You're either trolling or have something wrong with you... Going way too far with the devils advocate man, this guy is a tomato can crusher to the extreme with limited ability. 99/100 guys with his MO get exposed as soon as they step up and never amount to anything.

Good fighters fight respectable opposition while waiting for title shots. This guy doesn't, look at the records of his opponents. There's no one that is even top 200 lol.

    Wow.

Talk about a massive reach there. Golovkin was fighting guys who challenged for world titles pretty early on. By the time he was 18-0 he already earned a title shot. He also fought guys like Gardner, Bouadla, and Khomitsky who challenged for world titles by the time he was 11-0. So, it is clear he was fighting real worldwide competition. He was fighting guys with real experience. Not domestic fighters who are 6-0 and never went on to accomplish anything.

This Bezerra guy has literally fought 2 guys in 41 fights with over 20 fights themselves. That is disgraceful. Doesn't it tell you something that the guy is ranked #61 in the world and he is 41-0? Look, I'm not saying the guy is utterly terrible, but to have 41 fights and none are against top 50 (I'm assuming) fighters, it's pretty bad. People knock Wilders resume but at least he has a title and is fighting guys challenging for the title. This dude has fought no one.

They challenged for world titles, they didnt win any. Plus they are from europe so get more exposure than fighters in southern american

I think I'd need to see how he deals with Uysk and Gassiev before I see him as a threat to Bellew.

Both guys are terrible. Johnny Nelson is almost 50 and he would mop the floor with this guy.

Crazy, 41-0 (40) was his record all the way back at the beginning of the year when that thread was made. Actually, it has been his mark since March of 2016.

Tragic to see such a p4p level talent was 1¾ years of his prime. :ohno

At least he is back in action this weekend. The rematch everyone has been demanding, with Jose Robson Dos Santos, his KO6 victim in 2013, who entered that fight at 17-0 and is coming into Saturday's match an almost equally fresh 17-1, zero fights in four years, ready to exact revenge. :yaay
