Is this Brazilian fighter potentially the best cruiserweight right now?

I start to wonder if GGG'sJockStrap, GGGunbeatable and GGGoLomaKovalin are the exact same guy.

 

Brazilians are even better that Argentinians at padding their records. At least Argentinians are tough and can punch. Brazilian boxers all seem to be awful, in the main.

 

Brazil has never really had a big boxing tradition to my knowledge. Kudos to those that stick it out.

 

All their top athletes go into soccer. The few that are attracted to fight sports go into MMA, primarily.

Brazil could produce some phenomenal boxers if the infrastructure and grassroots stimulus were there. They're like the United States on steroids.

 

I laughed because Americans claim all their top boxers play gridiron and baseball and basketball. Personally I think South Africa would be a world power in boxing of it wasn't for soccer, cricket, rugby and marbles.

 

South Africa always seems to produce the odd world class heavyweight, usually a big white farm boy with crazy athleticism and/or power. They seem to have dropped off for the time being though.

 

The end of apartheid pretty much saw the boxing culture drop off with all the left wing peace and reconciliation vibe. Boxing used to be a staple on TV when I was a little kid; now it's The Bold and the Beautiful and some local soapies which are even worse, instead. Pretty sad with regard to boxing. We had a couple of prospects coming up but yeah, nothing like before. There was a guy called Oosthuizen who I actually saw drive past me one day in Boksburg, who was pretty useful. But he managed to disintegrate his career.

Oh, didn't realise you were from SA. Yeah, that makes sense. I remember Oosthuizen. Pretty talented guy, though I heard he had problems with alcohol or somesuch. His trainer was laying into him something fierce about it. Pity, as he looked to be shaping up into quite a good fighter.

 

How come I have never heard of this bloke, he looks like a throw back fighter.

Reminds me very much of a prime Rohit "Ko King" Singh.

 

Bezerra's recent fight was canceled, at least third cancellation this year.
