Is this father setting his son up for an epic failure?

This guy (father) is more interested in massaging his ego with videos than actually training fighters. His son has had his head filled with all this stuff from his dad. He hasn't been trained correctly and once he steps in with decent sparring partners he is going to learn some tough, painful lessons. If you notice, his sparring partners are WORSE than he is. If this kid wants to get serious I would suggest he distance himself from the old man as much as possible and get someone who isn't going to blow smoke up his arse and will train him properly. Kid has SOME skills but he needs better training than this. This video should be submitted to some independant film festivals in the comedy category.

 

I think that we are obligated as representatives of boxing fans/community to tell these people to stop. RDJ you should challenge these ****s to a sparring session.

He's going to get his **** rocked, ali wasn't a good fighter because of his style; he was a good fighter because of how smart he was in the ring

 

It's a metaphor. Kinda like 'swings both ways' 'bats for both teams' or 'pitches and catches.'

 

And that video as well as everything else on their youtube page is ****ing embarrassing..."Beating up golden gloves champs" etc... You can tell those guys aren't even open class yet...Maybe a regional sub-novice golden gloves champion, but nothing special...And that kid and his dad fight like clowns. Those slappy arm punches won't score in the amateurs, and fighting like an idiot with your hands down, switching stances all over the place and just generally hitting like a girl won't cut it in the pro game either.

In other words, I want my half hour back. Also, I get first dibs on kicking that kid's ass when he finally grows a pair and has a real fight.

 

the kid does some good things but those straight arm slaps from his waist have gotta go..

i like how he jabs at you from southpaw then his opponent moves then he jabs from orthodox stance, could be confusing to opponent if he can get really good at that

 

I just did. I want those 20 mins of my life back. Who is this Steele dude anyway? He's son is a heap of fail. That video was a joke. And what on earth makes him think he can go on to be anything like Ali? Great white hope? What century is this guy living in!
