Ok lets stop the bul**** about how theres noone out there for floyd.

This fight will be entertaining, ady floyds age could potentially be a factor.

But lets be real and call a spade a spade.

On paper this is floyds easiest fight since Baldomir.

    No Question

i disagree, style wise, i actually ssaw ortiz as a tough test for floyd. he hits hard, there was a big element of intrigue with tht one.

Also he handles berto alot easier, not to mention he had a size advantage.

    decent power perhaps.

    Definetly not huge power!.

Floyd will be the harder puncher of the two on fight night

Yeah definitely. With hindsight we can say Marquez was a very easy fight but at the time Floyd was coming off a 2 year lay off so it was hard to gauge how much he had left.

I thought Ortiz was a good fight at the time as he was young prime and on a hot knockdown streak I thought he might test Floyd.

So yeah I'd agree with the Ts here.

All bull**** aside, RG Vs. Mayweather will be more competitive than the JMM match-up was.

This a terrible matchup. Everybody thinks Guerrero is a power puncher since his fight against a shitty Berto. Guerrero was fighting at 130 3 years ago and is much better suited for 140. I think this will be a borefest.

Marquez is a greater fighter than RG, but smaller and stylistically easier for Floyd. Ortiz is bigger and stronger than RG, but not nearly as mentally strong and/or stable. Also, the years keep adding up for Floyd...

Short version; one of the easier post-Baldomir fights for Floyd, but not the easiest.

No. It will be harder than Ortiz, and (while Marquez >>> Guerrero p4p even today) harder than Marquez due to styles & size and exacerbated by the way Marquez bulked up into a plodder. Probably Mosley, too. Shane gave a fairly vanilla look - coming straight forward trying to hurt Floyd with bombs (especially after the moment of success with it early). Guerrero with his mauling, clinching, and superior movement & out-boxing to old SSM should be a lot more difficult, although less apt to bother Floyd with any single punch.

    I'm not sure.

Apart from a few early troubles against Mosley, he had a pretty easy night there. Also, Ortiz may have been powerful, but he's also glass brained and mentally weak. I think for a guy as intelligent in the ring as Floyd, that was always going to be an easy night in hindsight. Guerrero's tougher mentally, and more intelligent in the ring than Ortiz. Think it's a tougher fight for Mayweather.

This is a much tougher fight for Mayweather than people seem to think.

No. Marquez doesn't have what it takes to make Mayweather work. Guerrero does.
