You don't have to fight an elite boxer to show intelligence. :think

My point stands - Guerrero >>>>> Ortiz.

not to "show" but to properly evaluate, yes. All fighters look "intelligent" vs C Class competition.

Ortiz has fought better fighters than Guerrero has. Guerrero has never been in the ring with a world class A Grade fighter his entire career, please go back and re-evaluate his resume.

Guerrero didn't have high enough level boxing skills to stop Salido from beating him up.... Floyd's age is the only thing that gives Guerrero the chance to win rounds... because he's not coming anywhere close to winning the whole fight... Floyd's much too good

Uh, several actually. Maybe you should reevaluate. (either his resume or your own knowledge of his opposition)

Not really. I can give examples aswell. Also, not every elite boxer is an intelligent boxer.

When it comes to WW. Guerrero has the better resume, that's all that counts.

Guerrero - Aydin, Berto - Wins.
Ortiz - Berto - Win. Mayweather, Lopez - Losses.

*Ortiz has clearly been in with the better opposition, but still, he looked limited in both his losses.

Edit: IB beat me to it, you need to re-evaluate your definition of World class.

Well I guess when you are a pro then you are world class but that doesnt mean you are a B grade or A grade fighter. The Ghost has never faced either...

Aydin is a bum and had The Ghost gassed by the 6th round throwing sloppy punches.

The Berto that RG defeated was coming off a steroid layoff.....Ortiz win vs Berto 1st is much better than the Ghosts wins IMO....

I have no excuse for the Lopez fight....

Guerrero is a good fighter and will put up a good effort. He won't beat Mayweather but with his style and tenacity along with Mayweather's age I think Guerrero will push Mayweather.

I think Guerrero will be middle of the pack as far as Mayweather's toughest fights since he moved up to 147. Guerrero should put up a better fight than guys like JMM and Mosley but not as tough as Oscar did.

It depends. If Mayweather can counter over that quick but meaningless jab Guerrero throws to set up his straight left with, it'll be an easy fight. If Mayweather counters the dirty tactics of Guerrero intelligently, it'll be an easy night. If Floyd is "physically" stronger than Guerrero, it'll be an easy fight.

If any one of those are lacking, he'll be challenged a bit, but will still win.

Two problems with Guererro, he gasses in the second half of fights. And he's not really durable to the body.

First bout at the higher weight, can't remember him gassing, but haven't seen it since live.

I wouldn't say much better, Guerrero's was at least as impressive to me taking everything in to consideration.

    :conf:lol:

Although the move up in weight could be the reason, he just didnt look impressive vs a C class fighter from overseas.

I do agree he looked better vs Berto but I blame Bertos T Rex arms trying to use the shoulder roll defense:rofl

Diaz, Salido, Honorio, Yordan, Klassen, Casamayor, Escobedo, Katsidis, Aydin, Berto.

10 world class opponents in four weight classes (spanning five, with 140lbs skipped)

If you don't believe any of them to be world class, your definition is a fallacy.
