It's the best ever. Anything before 90s doesn't really count because Eastern Europeans were not allowed to go into pro boxing.

Early 2000s was much better. Just because there's noone superior to the rest doesn't mean the talent pool is great.

I'll buy that, yes its getting interesting and enough good fights to keep it that way a good bit. I still see Wlad maybe winning a rematch and retiring after rubber match.

If competitive, equal-level fights mean a great fighters then are Ward & Gatti leading the ATG lists?

90's had atg's like Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe, Tyson, and a past his prime Foreman that beat a very talented, very dangerous undefeated southpaw in Moorer. The Bowe-Holyfield trilogy was one of the best trilogies at heavyweight or any weight, Bowe basically lost his prime in those fights he was never the same after. And with 2nd tier fighters like Mercer, Tua, Ibeabuchi, Rahman, Sanders, Morrison, Cooper, Briggs, McCall, Byrd, Maskaev, Golota, etc , if you think about it, 2 of those, Byrd and Sanders, have wins over prime Klitschko's. A faded Lewis has a close win over prime Vitali. So yea, this era has good talent, but 90's era is hard to beat. ALOT more talent than just Axel Schulz lmao

The HWD will be better than this if the Klitschko brothers retire.

You bring that up as evidence that the 90s was a great era? It proves the opposite: The 90s was so weak that a fat 48 year old has-been could knock out a glass-jawed former LHW belt holder :deal

Imagine a 49 year old Mike Tyson made a come back today and knocked out unbeaten Deontay Wilder. What does that say about today's division?

You really can't compare the talent without getting a time machine and bringing someone back from the past and trying them out - I know the eye test is one thing, but a lot of people would probably say Wlad was ****e if they somehow didn't know him or his opponent were from just watching a fight.

I think there is a lot of legit talent in who are being sold short by people whose qualification to comment on their abilities are passing the bot test when signing into a forum.

We have a pretty competitive top 30 end of HW division right now - just enjoy it instead of trying to compare the uncomparable.

2nd tier might be a little generous. Ibeabuchi is ridiculously overrated by some, as your post demonstrates:deal
