Is this list of lineal champions right and how did Wlad get there?

Well Byrd was considered #1 by the Ring when Wlad defeated him, therefore he became the linear champ I think.
I don't understand why it's since 2009 though, they likely consider that Wlad vs Chagaev was for the linear title.

    Vitali is lineal HW champ.

He won it against Sanders. Vitali-Rahman-Oleg-Peter-Vitali

The Ring awarded him in #1 Wlad vs #3 Chagaev, back in 2009.

No matter what anyone in this thread says, Wlad vs Chagaev was for LINEAR champ status officially declared by RING magazine.

Chagaev was condemed as an opponent and HBO even rejected to air the fight. Chagaev isn't allowed fight outside of Germany where they make up their own rules.

Ring currently have Chagaev ranked higher than Stiverne, Arreola and Tyson Fury at no.6.

No.6! Can you believe that ****. IBF rightfully have him at no.44.

Ring ratings aint worth a dump.

The Ring belt is not and has never been equivalent to the lineal championship. It most especially isn't today.

It is up to you on how you choose to recognize "lineal."

According to the RING, Vitali won it against Sanders and retired. Wladimir won it vacant years later against Chagaev. I agree with that.

In my opinion the list is correct.

Lineage depends on acceptance to a large extent, but I think that Wladamir will be accepted as a lineal champion in the eyes of history.

The people who right the history books will acknowledge his claim, and everybody else will follow suit.
