Technically that does not matter. You can be punching the guy with 7 straight solid power punch but if he counters you and you do the chicken dance it did not matter you got hit 7 times before. Stoppage is looking at your current health. That being said, I can agree with what you are might be implying in that Char was taking the same kind of punishment 2 seconds before and there was no stoppage. If that kind of punishment was worthy of stoppage, then Char should have been TKO'd 2 seconds earlier.
That is one of the most disgraceful things I've seen. I love boxing but you wonder how this can be allowed to go on for so long, I mean especially in the European countries like Germany, it's just obvious corruption. I mean really, this was only a couple of steps up from one of those Charlie Zelenoff fights where he pays some Mexican day labourer to take a dive while he films it...
I remember Corley trying to run around the ref to hit him again. :rofl:rofl Manfredo-Calzaghe was awful. 1 shot in 20 landed and the fat man runs in waving his hands.
I was bored of that fight and never made it to the end. This is the first time actually finishing the video and yes, probably the worst stoppage I have ever seen! So anticlimactic, the fighters even looked like they didn't know what was going on. Terrible. :nono
Look at this one. Starting at 20:00 [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4i2AQifUtk"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4i2AQifUtk[/ame]
That's that Diamond Defense. It's so good just using it damages Charr's opponent. See that taunt he did in the middle of it? That's what ripped Williams' heart out. His body just hadn't caught up to it. Thankfully the ref knew, and could feel Danny's very existence in jeopardy. We shouldn't be ridiculing this man for wisely stopping the fight, we should be giving him a ****ing medal. That Diamond Defense is no joke.
