It shows (or seems to show) Kirkman landing a peach of a hook on Foreman, but I've watched the whole damn fight -all one and a half rounds of it - and for the life of me I can't see where anything remotely like that happens.

edit: At first I mistakenly linked to an excerpt of Foreman's five man Toronto spectacle, misleadingly presented as a stand alone fight. Ironically, I haven't ever watched that very closely and it may (I guess) be where the photo was taken.

This is the fifth and final exhibition of a five-fight afternoon series in 1975 or so, not the MSG . It is legitimate.
Even a casual listen of the soundtrack makes this clear, but I can sympathize if you turned the sound off Cosell's obnoxious commentary. I can barely stand listening to him as well. Kirkman's trunks are a different color than the first fight.

I didn't actually watch that video at all until it was in my post. As soon as I played it I realized it wasn't the 1970 fight.

And call me crazy, but I kind of like How-ward Co-sell. (Though I like Don Dunphy much better.)

Looks like it's from the 2nd round of the Toronto exhibition - 6.04 on this video. Kirkman actually did give him a pretty good jolt.

    Thank goodness.

I was worried that this was gonna be a recently discovered old photo of George and Boone partying in fish net stockings.

I'll gladly show you my "private" photos of Foreman and Kirkman for a small fee.

:lol: While I appreciate the offer, I’ll pass thanks. Still suffering PTSD from the Golden Girl’s pics.

    Good find, Sherlock!

Boone Kirkman is a Washington State Legend! He went on to be a very good mountaineer after his boxing career ended.

If think he was the goat at presenting and commentating b tier fights. Like an Ali v Chuvalo 2, Shavers v Holmes, where he could kind of take a decent bite of protagonism and use it to enrich the broadcast. His commentating of Ali v Frazier 3 was really boring for example, because, respectfully, the fight was way bigger than Howard or anything at that exact moment lol. But he also was great at Frazier v Foreman. idk hes a cool guy i think the public at the time just thought it was cool to hate him, guys that are fresh to his commentating generally find it interesting
