Is this really the problem with Calzaghe and Mayweather?

This all true but I would like to add that B-hop basically was in obscurity until he was 36 but look at him now. I guess he maybe just has more desire for glory?

Bull**** Calzaghe knows if he fought Nard again he'd get his ass knocked OUT not just down

  3. Absolutely no comparison at all.

You're just being dumb and not adding anything to the discussion. Tell how this would happen if they fought again rather than just making some random comment without a basis?

I really don't see Floyd's resume being much better than Calzaghe. Hatton is overrated and so is ODLH who was well past it when he an Floyd fought. Not saying Floyd is not better but he never fought anyone near the level of Hopkins. Both of their resumes are lacking.

I don't think that's related to having the "0" and being afraid to lose it!

Both of their careers are as equally padded but Joe fought the TOUGHER comp in Kessler and Hopkins IMO

Calzaghe is not in Floyd's league.

Calzaghe retired because he know he lost to B-Hop and did did not want to risk a rematch or fight Dawson (which would have done him good), Mayweather retired because he know he could not duck the entire Welterweight division for long and would have to fight some eventually. I believe Mayweather will return a) at Light Welterweight where he is WBC Emirtus belt holder or b) when all the chalangers at Welterweight leave or give Floyd a good reason not to fight them (i.e. too many losses, no title, not enough of a draw).

Calzaghe and floyd were the best and were undefeated and they like any boxer thought they were unbeatable. THATS WHY THEY RETIRED! truth is, people wanna see them lose to prove them wrong which is rly sad.

Fighters don't retire because they think they're unbeatable, they fight the best opponents out there. They retire because they feel they have nothing left to prove and/or accomplished everything they wanted to or they just don't love fighting like they used to.
